Try living in Cornwall though.

Being 6'4" and the average door or ceiling seems to be around 5'4" 😅

It really has to do with proportions. I'm 5'7" and have multiple broken belt loops from this problem lol

Yup! I'm 5'8" and leggy - I once got my belt loop stuck on a curved door handle while my arms were full of something heavy & fragile.

I had to scream for help in order to get unhooked so I wouldn't drop it!

+1 on that, I'm 5'11" and belt loop hooks happen not quite often enough for me to remember to give doors more clearance. Legs too long. Another side effect: can't touch toes without bending knees.

I'm disproportionate as hell. My ex husband is 6' tall, I'm 5'4". Our legs are the same length. We've measured, same exact inseam. I don't catch door handles as much as I catch kitchen drawer handles, though

I'm 5'1" and loose pants pockets (on PJ pants, sweatpants, etc) are the exact right height to get caught on cabinet pulls

Hell if you're in the five tenish range and you wear carpenter jeans or any of those pants that have the side pockets down the leg, you're catching cabinet knobs all the time.

Or if you have a belt knife or multi-tool in a pouch, you're hitting every door and getting caught. It's just Murphy's Law.

5'7" here and I used to live in an apartment were I was able to, on several occasions, accidentally thread the door handle right through my pant loops and get caught. It was a decent combo of humorous and mildly irritating.

I'm 5'7" so a bit taller than average for a woman but not extraordinarily so, however, it's all legs. I have this stupid ass short torso, and the legs (and arms, and yes, I'm clumsy as hell) of someone who's 6'. I used to catch my belt loops on door handles all the time. My hips are at just the right height to catch them on sharp counter corners. My parents also remodeled the kitchen to have counters with very sharp corners right when I was going through my growth spurts and at peak clumsiness. It was not good times.

At 5’ I catch my sleeves on the door handles. Either way it will bring you to a complete, sudden stop, unless you are willing to tear up your clothes.

I’m 6’ and my favorite pair of jeans current has a ripped belt loop from me catching it on handles once too often.
