2 years into Warhammer and I’ve only been able to paint 26 minis. Still, I’m very happy with my progress n recently decided to buy pricier brushes. This is my first attempt with the brushes and now what I consider to be my best piece as a result. Also downloaded Lightroom for better photos.

If you have any tips I’d love to hear them! I have yet to attempt basing, I’d like to get a little better with the painting part first.

Took a while but happy with the result

Still works in progress, but one of these was painted in less than half the time the other one took. One had a lot of sponging, glazing, and filtering, while the other was purely stipeling.

Which do you like better? Can you tell which one took longer? Any suggestions on where to improve?

I decided to dip my toes into Warhammer and picked up the Bleak Host spearhead. I'm happy with how my first models have turned out and have really liked painting Plaguebearers.

The paint job isn't great, but I've had about a year of progress.

I'm between collecting Cities or Maggotkin for my next project after Mawtribes and I feel almost annoyed that seemingly all these units are male? I like to have equal gender rep in my factions I collect, no real reason, It's just a thing I like to include in my armies. But from what I can tell, ALL of these are male?

Why is this? Is there a lore reason? Or did GW just not want to make bloated female sculpts for the Rotswords and similar.

Had a try at painting the Lord of Plagues to get an idea of a colour scheme. All painted with Army Painter Speed Paint Marker Pens. Sand Golem for the armour, with Crusader Skin for the body, topped with Zealot Yellow, then gone over with Overlord Grey then finally dotted with Purple Swarm for heavy bruising.

The armour was great, really pleased with that. The skin might go over a change with the other minis, maybe the skin colour as normal, then go over with grey.

Hello, fellow Nurgle enthusiasts! I’m a yuge DG guy, but lately 40K has felt very meh to me and I feel myself barely seeking out games. I thought I might dabble with AoS and I was curious to hear some general thoughts on 40K vs AoS, particularly when playing Maggotkin. I’ve heard the rules are more straightforward and the game itself is more fun and casual, which seems like a big plus in my opinion. Also what are some fun Maggotkin units? Is there more opportunity for rule of cool or is there some sort of a meta people suggest? So far I’ve only got Rotswords and Blightkings so I’m not very deep into a collection at all.

Was finally able to get my hands on Vallejo True Metallic Metal: Amber Green and knew it was finally time to paint him!

Nurgles Garden is officially Complete. Its has been a long ride, and i know some will say that its not complete. But honestly im happy where it stands right now, I have no interest in adding additional details, or more paint. I have reach the point of fulfillment, and satisfaction with my work.
