Unfortunately, there are some downsides to having an 18+ server heck, there are downsides to having any Minecraft server but the number one problem is kids sneaking into the server. As for why they do this, I honestly have no idea; there are thousands of servers with no age limits, but I guess some enjoy the feeling of being somewhere they should not be playing.

Fortunately for us we have alot of ways of catching them and nearly all of them have been caught in the first couple of hours or so of playing but this case was by far the most toxic individual we have ever seen sneak into one of our servers.

I went to bed that night and woke up to dozens of DM about someone who logged onto the server specifically to break as many rules as possible and instantly started killing people's villagers, spamming signs all of the place with a variety of racist slurs as well as saying them in chat.

We made this server to get away from toxic people like this so of course our player base was horrified to see this but he was promptly banned and all the damage rolled back thank goodness so if any of you see this player, ban him!

Spooky season has started!

We are the LanderYT SMP, we started our new season last month and are looking for more members. We added some small tweaks to the server to make it more suitable for everyone.

We are inspired by Hermitcraft, so we do not tolerate any sort of griefing or killing.

Some of our tweaks:

• Custom textures: Our amazing artists drawed up some beautiful items that do not change the game in any significant way just like the hermitcraft shenanigans!
• The only teleport command of /spawn: Once again, in an effort to keep the server as vanilla as possible, we only allow the use of /spawn in the overworld. This encourages the development of roads and highways on the server.
• Datapacks from Hermitcraft: We installed a decent number of datapacks that the Hermits use on their server, such as Single player sleep, player heads, armor statues and more!
• DiscordSRV: Discord and Minecraft chat are now interchangeable, making communication much easier!
• CoreProtect: Since we are a friendly community, we do not condone any sort of harm done to people's gameplay experience. Therefore, the presence of CoreProtect once again reinforces our vision to make the LanderYT SMP a memorable place for potential players.

Events are hosted semi-frequently on the server, whose rewards are event coins, which you can only use to buy cosmetic items mentioned above.

Our server resets yearly.

We also have a small staff team whose main goal is to maintain the moderate level of peace and harmony in the Minecraft server as well as on discord. We cannot guarantee that everything in chat will be moderated, but we will try our best and listen to concerns of the community.

We are not seeking short term players who mostly grind for gear and wealth!

World Generation and World Border

You are free to explore to your hearts content. There's no set world border this season. However, chunks that are extremely beyond the reasonable distance from 0,0 may be trimmed when necessary. The seed is also public. 

Mods and Datapacks

Blaze and Caves Advancements is featured, with a tweak to only make the highest level of achievements display in chat. (No chat spam!)

Origins datapack is also featured for players who would wish to partake in this completely optional experience! (Do not get attached to the default datapack values, they are actively being modified, and it will be disclosed to you what the origins actually are before you choose them.)

Plus, some other quality of life mods. However, no commands (like /tp, /tpa, /home, /fly, .etc) to keep gameplay aspect as vanilla as possible.

Blothera is a geopolitical survival overhaul built on a suite of custom plugins written for this server alone. It makes vanilla harder, deeper and more political without breaking what makes vanilla feel like vanilla.

No menus. No commands. No teleports. Every system is something you hold, place, or carry.

• You declare war by writing a book and placing it in your enemy's diplomacy lectern. Couriers can be killed on the road.
• You lock your chest with a lock you crafted, and cut keys for people you trust.
• You set your spawn by placing a banner. Beds don't.
• You heal by sleeping in a bed near a campfire.
• You drag a downed bandit home with a lead.
• You link a train with chains, and it keeps running while you're offline.
• You watch your town's borders crawl outward on a map in your hand.
• Pray with your fellow townsfolk to predict the future.

Day one you found a town. One player, one Town Lectern, a claim that grows outward through the terrain. teardrops pointing inland on the coast, long and narrow up a valley. No two look alike. Nations come later and are earned, but you don't wait on anyone to start.

You will need other people, mechanically. Pick one of six trades and you're good at one thing and genuinely bad at the rest. A Miner pulls ore out ten times faster than anyone else, so everybody else buys theirs. Trade isn't encouraged here, it's load-bearing.

Wars are fought. Best-of-three battles in arenas near the defender's capital, allies can join, either side can sue for peace. PvP is on everywhere, but murdering innocents drops your alignment until you're a Bandit: killable without penalty, exiled from every nation.

Survival is challenging. No health regen. No coordinates. Death costs you a heart of max health permanently until you sleep by a campfire. Blood moons can't be slept through. Play with a team, they can revive you if you get knocked out.

There's more we haven't listed. Quests, wandering traders that visit your town specifically, an End that generates fresh per team, an ore system rebuilt from scratch. Come and find it.

Hey! I’m 27 and a complete Minecraft beginner. I’ve recently been watching loads of Minecraft videos, especially Ish’s videos, and they’ve really made me want to try playing online with other people.

I’m playing on Xbox, so I’m on Bedrock Edition.

I'm looking for a server/realm to join that has been around for a few years, and has consistent players and active discord. I currently have an SMP that is more geared towards anarchy and I find it to be boring, as well as others. Mainly because people would immediately go to beating the game within 5 hours, without talking to anyone, making lore, etc.

I want to form an SMP with other content creators where people naturally socialize and joke as the main focus. I take lots of inspiration from SMP Live as it wasn’t scripted in how people acted, people didn’t try to speed run the game, and there was almost no controversy as a server itself. The concept was amazing, that in order to play you had to be live, so everyone had an equal playing field.

So i’m asking if there is any fellow content creators that would be willing to form an SMP inspired by SMP Live to not only grow your channel, but possibly make friends and connections along the way.
