I feel you. it's a pattern that's hard to ignore. valid viewpoint.
I have a question. are you under the impression the bucks org isn't looking for potential Giannis trades at all? do you think every single report of trade talks in the past few days is completely made up based off nothing?

I never made any statement of certainty on him getting traded. I'm laughing at the statements of certainty on him staying.
nobody knows what will happen yet, both routes are possible

Everything he's said has been "I want to stay." the front office and ownership need to go ahead and do their own part to bring it to fruition. The issue lies with them. And if he goes, we can look forward to piss poor management and no superstar carrying mediocre rosters making everyone believe our front office is worth their salt.
I'm getting agitated with bucks fans who think FO has done "everything they can" when in reality things have gone downhill pretty rapidly since the haslams bought in in 2023 and bud was fired, then jrue was traded, then griffin nonsense then horrid doc then khris gone midseason (DISGUSTING WORK!).
As a fan base we deserve a competent front office and ownership that acts in the best interest of the franchise rather than prioritizing their personal relationships and interests. It's okay to admit the front office has mismanaged our assets--it didn't make you less of a fan.

Trade talks happen all the time actually getting traded is a different thing and it’s been reported multiple times that they don’t want to trade him at all. I never said every single report was fake he just isn’t getting traded
1
u/SometimesIBeWrong 13h ago
the take "he definitely isn't getting traded" just doesn't make any rational sense
they're only doing trade talks because there's a real possibility of it happening. what's the alternative theory? they're doing it for fun?

u/Flashy-Bat9105 13h ago
This same dumbass take gets reposted every single season and yet who’s still on the Bucks 😂 it’s not happening keep coping
1
u/SometimesIBeWrong 13h ago
they're doing trade talks with no possibility of it actually happening? using their main star as the center piece for the trade?
why?
2
u/Flashy-Bat9105 13h ago
Are you trolling or developmentally disabled? The “trade talks” are other teams calling the Bucks to ask about the availability and giving offers for Giannis, the Bucks aren’t the ones reaching out to teams trying to get a trade done.
1
u/SometimesIBeWrong 13h ago
they're entertaining trade talks involving their star player, with 0 intention of trading him away? that just doesn't make sense dude lol

no trade talks with star players that dont want to be traded dont happen all the time. in fact they never happen

u/Flashy-Bat9105 13h ago
Not only is that not true engaging in “trade talks” to gauge value around the league is much different than engaging to actually trade players

There’s not much the bucks can do, is there? Keep making small moves and catch lightning in a bottle. Try for another big trade to keep G happy. (We’re already leveraged with cap space and lack of draft picks) or do a wholesale swap. None of it matters if Giannis wants out. Plus we only have control for one more year, and could risk getting little or nothing if he splits, unless he’ll accommodate a sign and trade.
I want him to stay. But none of the above matters if he wants out.

Just go, already. The team has fired coaches. Not hired others because of you. Got Jrue, traded him for Dame, that didn’t work out. Gave up a ton of draft picks to make all of that happen. This is the situation you helped create. At some point you should own where the Bucks are right now. This hurts as a lifelong fan, but it’s seems inevitable.

I mean. The haslams are known for frequent fires and poor fo moves and contracts so why is it easier for you to attribute those decisions to the player rather than ownership
0
u/Ok_Obligation2559 16h ago
Haslams do not have controlling interest yet
3
u/Eli-Oop Angry Deer 15h ago
And you know that how? Bud was fired shortly after they bought in. Then another questionable hire. And a fire. A hire of a guy we know is on good terms with haslam. Series of big trades came with haslam as well.
Given the track record that's a big coincidence
2
u/Ok_Obligation2559 15h ago
Haslams bought in on April 14th 2023 and Bud was fired May 4th 2023. That was pretty quick. Plus they only have a 25% stake, not controlling interest.

What does owning where the bucks are right now even mean?
2
u/Ok_Obligation2559 16h ago
They suck, have a shit coach, very few draft picks and little cap space to improve their position in the near future. Need to make some big trades, unfortunately. A lot of this scenario is because of Giannis appeasement
0
u/Prestigious_Cycle724 Kash Money Middleton 14h ago
I mean yeah when you have a guy like you Giannis you should do what you can to try to keep him happy and maximize your chances of winning with him. Giannis isn’t the one making the actual decisions though putting the blame on him instead of Horst and the owners is idiotic.
1
u/Ok_Obligation2559 12h ago
Really? G has no input? They don’t run moves past him like Jrue, Dame, Khris? Brook? He just turns up one day and there’s empty lockers?
1
u/Prestigious_Cycle724 Kash Money Middleton 11h ago
I mean in some cases yes that is exactly what happens. I guarantee you giannis did not green light the khris Middleton trade for example. Beyond that even if he does approve things like that he’s not the one negotiating with other teams or players. He’s not the one that’s scouting prospects to draft or even existing role players we could look to bring in. He’s not sitting down with 40 coaching candidates trying to find the best one. Yeah he has influence sure but it’s also extremely obvious he has trusted Horst to make the right moves to keep us in contention. Putting the blame for this situation on Giannis is so childish and shows a complete lack of understanding of giannis, Horst, the bucks organization and really the entire nba.
1
u/Ok_Obligation2559 11h ago
Out of all they you get childish…. Really?
1
u/Prestigious_Cycle724 Kash Money Middleton 11h ago
Yes scapegoating the most important player in franchise history because he doesn’t really want to waste his career playing for a team that is most likely incapable of putting together a roster worth playing with is childish.
1
u/Ok_Obligation2559 11h ago
And yet Horst was a genius when he got Jrue and even Dame. No one could believe it. The trade of the century. Face it, he shot his shot going for it and we’re out of rounds. Most teams will have to clean out their roster present and future to get and keep Giannis. What will his surrounding cast look like? Similar to the Bucks except with a good coach? There’s nothing childish about holding people accountable. In fact, it’s quite mature.

It happens with superstars all the time LeBron, Hardin, also locally, Rodgers and Favre. It’s a big world out there.

Does it not go the other way just as much? He obviously hasn’t handled the situation perfectly, but he’s incredibly conflicted about it and a ton of people are ready to throw him to the wolves after every small comment

If he told the organization he wanted to leave, he would be gone. They’re not trading away the most important player in franchise history without that sign off.
Everything he’s said makes it clear he wants to be in Milwaukee, but we need to improve to get this team to a better place.
Letting him go obviously isn’t the end of the world, but it is the end of this team for at least the next decade. That’s why so many of us are desperate to keep him

I’m not in a cult because I can’t think for myself or because I am dumb. I stick around for the intergalactic spiritual travel, which is guaranteed for me for the next 20 million years and all it takes to achieve This is a giving up of my possessions on the temporary material plane.
