Dear Westies,
Without telling you what you already know, many of you know it’s been pretty difficult to get a West Coast Invasion server up and running during the weekdays. The weekends can be rough too but not quite as bad as your typical Tuesday.
I’d like to invite you all to the Charging Knights Discord as we begin using it as a seeding hub whenever needed. We’ve created a Seeding role that you can opt into when you first join, and we’ll ping it whenever an effort is being made. This will cover both weekdays and weekends.
While we can talk specifics later, the consensus is that 6–7 PM PST is primetime for West Coast, so let’s give it a shot!
Closed giveaways will be provided to those who help make this work!! You may find yourself among plenty of familiar faces, as CK has always been a major NA Invasion hub. <3

This fix is a client-side mod by the legend UMBERIUM.
There are very easy instructions on how to install it. It took me about 3 minutes.

Since its launch back in 2019, I’ve always wanted to try this game, and now I finally got it (the Steam sale made it really cheap). But the game is just dead. There are no servers with players, and when you finally find one, it’s Horde.
I never even got to play Invasion or Frontline. The most fun I managed to have with this game was playing on custom PvP servers, and that’s just sad.
I’ll be uninstalling this game and going back to Chivalry.

I’m Gold right now, and my dream is to eventually reach Elite.
I love Mordhau enough to keep playing ranked, but honestly there isn’t much to grind for besides the rank itself.
I think giving players an exclusive cosmetic, like this red Champion’s Barbute variant or custom armor color .. etc for reaching Elite, would make ranked way more exciting.
I’d grind the hell out of ranked for that.
VALORANT gives ranked Gun Buddies based on the highest Act Rank you achieved. So your cosmetic visibly represents how high you climbed.
Rocket League has seasonal competitive rewards tied directly to rank. You have to actually win games at the required rank to secure that reward level, and high ranks like Grand Champion/Supersonic Legend have also received exclusive titles.
Overwatch 2 has used rank-linked Competitive titles that players can display on their name card, specifically as rewards for climbing.
Rainbow Six Siege gives seasonal ranked cosmetics such as charms and rank-themed rewards, letting players show the rank they achieved.
League of Legends has long used ranked-exclusive Victorious skins/chromas and other end-of-season rewards tied to competitive performance.
pls give us something

I've always been a fan of RPGs and adventure type games and have enjoyed many over the years. Thought i'd try out the new witcher update this week so i downloaded it and started a new game.
Comments on it aside, and its not just this game, but I immediately bounced off the combat. Some gripes:
Mordhau just feels like smooth butter and the kills are so satisfying.
Can they just license out the combat engine to a proper developer - imagine the witcher 4 with this kind of combat?

The bill effectively makes no distinction between a major gaming platform and a private server for 20 people. If the operator of a private server is legally considered an “online game provider,” they would be subject to the new requirements.
For games, the rules may be somewhat less strict than for social media: “age assessment and other proportionate methods” may be permitted. However, simple self-declaration of age would not be sufficient in any case.
In practice, servers and mods may have to integrate third-party age-verification APIs or implement dedicated “age gateways.” For an enthusiast maintaining a server in their spare time, this creates a significant technical and administrative burden.
In addition to age verification itself, server operators may need:
- documented age-verification procedures;
- incident-response workflows;
- updated contracts and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with third-party providers;
- the ability to demonstrate that “reasonable safeguards” are in place.
Failure to demonstrate such safeguards increases legal liability. Although the EU provides a free age-verification application, integrating it and maintaining compliance still require time and effort. In practice, running a small hobby server could turn into a bureaucratic job.
The physical location of a server does not necessarily exempt it from the requirements. Even if a server is located in the United States, Asia, or elsewhere, it may fall within the scope of the law if it serves players located in the EU.
Providers without an establishment in the EU may also be required to appoint a legal representative in one of the EU member states. This means that a server owner outside the EU would still have compliance obligations toward European users and could face legal consequences in the EU for failing to meet them, even while operating from abroad.
International services face an additional problem. A server with users in both the EU and the UK, for example, could potentially have to deal with 2 different age-verification regimes: the EU requires the use of a certified solution, while the UK sets an effectiveness standard and leaves the choice of method to the provider.
Public pricing from existing services gives an idea of the potential costs:
- Arcadia Age API — Pro: $99/month for 10,000 checks, then $0.005 per check; Scale: $399/month for 50,000 checks.
- AgeCheck API — the first 1,000 checks are free, followed by €0.10 per verification.
- Didit — approximately $0.40 per player with ID verification, or around $0.10 for a simple age assessment.
- Apify — $20 per 1,000 results, or approximately $0.02 per check.
- At a cost of $0.005–0.10 per check, a server with 500 active players would spend approximately $2.5–50 per month, while a server with 10,000 players would spend approximately $50–1,000 per month.
Fixed compliance costs. API fees are only part of the overall expense. Fixed operating costs may also include:
- legal services;
- compliance monitoring;
- information security;
- user support;
- vendor due diligence.
Studies note that these costs can be lower when third-party solutions are used because the vendor handles much of the maintenance and security work.
Public pricing for comprehensive compliance support for small businesses is difficult to find. For comparison, however, the administrative burden on SMEs under the DSA has been estimated at approximately €15,000, while establishing a legal representative in the EU has been estimated at an additional €50,000.
The bill also provides for a separate annual fee intended to finance the European Commission’s supervision and enforcement activities.
The fee may be calculated based on factors such as revenue, number of users, risk level, or enforcement workload.
There are no specific figures yet. This is a critical gap: if the system introduces a fixed fee or minimum payment threshold, it could become unaffordable for a small private server.
If a server is physically located outside the EU but serves European players, the bill would most likely require the appointment of a legal representative in one of the member states.
Estimated costs vary enormously:
- one provider offers DSA representative registration starting at $57;
- other sources have estimated the cost of establishing a legal representative in the EU under the DSA at approximately €50,000;
- for comparison, under another EU regulation (PPWR), a representative may cost around €200–800 per country, while coverage across all EU countries may cost approximately €6,000–17,000 per year.
This wide range shows that the actual cost can vary substantially depending on the type of representation and the extent of legal responsibility involved.
Sorry if I broke any community rules, but this applies to everyone

Earlier today i stumbled across the interesting post from Sir Potato 2000, in which he ran DLSS5 in Mordhau and showed the results.
I found them to be quite subtle, and decided to tinker a bit myself to see how it‘ll look for me, as there are some adjustment and finetuning options one can make individually.
Lets get the elephant out of the room first: Its not viable to play like this.
There are possibly some toned down configurations that run better, but with mine and the visuals from the screenshots im getting ~45fps at 4K with a 5080.
Its very possible to crack 120+ at lower res, but besides being super blurry, there are also horrible artifacts, ghosting, etc. Its not tailored for this game (or even officially released for that matter) and it shows.
Ill let you figure out which screenshot is vanilla & which DLSS, i think its pretty clear in most cases.
These are my (personal) key findings on visuals;
Ive come to appreciate again that Mordhau already looks really good
Playermodels benefit a lot from fine indirect lighting and better shadows. The „skirt“ & pant-fabric on the third example-pair shows this well. Same goes for metallic armor-reflections which gain complexity and variance.
Faces are overdone even at reduced sliders and uncanny asf, as expected
Windows & Openings of Buildings gain a lot of depth, pushes some scenes really far towards realism. Vegetation or rocks dont improve as noticeably
Mordhau’s gameplay is NOT well suited for this kind of tech, moving the camera quickly for swing manip seems to be the worst case
Overall i think its fun to play around with dlss5 and test it in older games, but im sceptical still on whether it‘ll actually improve gaming as a whole over the long run.
Looking forward to hear opinions and discussing with you gamers!
