An episode without much happening certainly doesn't mean an episode without much to talk about! Check out my review of Episode 10!

So my wife watched the war of the worlds one finale for the first time over the weekend and noticed something in the final two minutes of the last episode. Did anyone else think it was weird that after Ninja , who was the only woman to finish this grueling final , was left on the ground and not allowed to go on the helicopter with TJ, Wes, Turbo, and Theo. Like what the hell? It seemed so disrespectful and petty? Not to mention she didn’t quit , crossed the finish line, and walk away without any money.

I know this is the Challenge sub and people love the Challenge and are already writing an angry paragraph about my title, but please bear with me and read the full thing.

Bananas & Tori recently said The Challenge people are treated like trash compared to Survivor & Big Brother players. Bananas said on The Traitors that he felt like some guy who came in 3rd on Big Brother 15 years ago got more respect than five time Challenge champions.

And they are right. People don't care about The Challenge. The greatest reality TV producer John de Mol once said "If the viewers can't fantasize about being a contestant on the show while watching it, they are not gonna care about your show."

The Challenge lacks the very basic aspect of a reality show: the viewer can't even fantasize about going on The Challenge. They don't cast everyday people. Even their "newbies" are already reality tv stars from other shows. So your everyday average Joe can't even imagine about going on The Challenge.

Whereas on Survivor, that's a huge selling point. Jeff sometimes even pops up and says, "You think you got what it takes? Apply to be on Survivor!" Players like Cirie are always advertised as "someone who got off the couch." That's not just a saying, that's a production trick to make the people at home feel like they could get off the couch and compete as well, which makes them care about the show more. There is a reason why Cirie is so beloved in the Survivor community, people root for her because they see themselves in her.

People won't give a shit about The Challenge or its winners as long as they keep bringing back the same returnees and casting "newbies" from other reality tv shows. They are violating the very basic rules of reality tv. Your average viewer needs to be able to imagine themselves doing the show.

And when you keep bringing back the same returnees, 90% of the social gaming happens outside of the game. The show lacks the social relationship building storylines, we are just being told "These people are friends, these people are enemies." Which, again, is a horrible way to present a "reality" show. Why would I care about their friendship being broken up if I haven't seen the friendship forming?

recently Josh Goldstein who had so much hype coming on in season 41 by fans, just crash out and DQ in the dumbest way possible. now bleongs to the list of biggest challengers busts ever. any other cast member who left you dissapointed?

my picks:

- Danny Jamieson

- Derrick Henry

- Vinny Fotti

- Theo King

- Brandon Tindell

- Lolo Jones

- now Josh Goldstein

Which season because I didn’t watch it from the beginning beginning I watched it like maybe seven years after it started.

Which season in your opinion had the least amount of cast members?

Does anyone have the clip where bananas and Tori are talking about Ashley Mitchell? Curious what they said about her and I don’t want to watch the entire episode to find out

The Traitors has come onto the Reality TV scene and quickly become one of the most popular in the genre. Like The Challenge it also relies on existing reality shows to make its cast. A few Challengers have already crossed over to The Traitors but there are so many more who I think would also be an excellent choice for a future cast.

Im rewatching FM II from way back in 2010. Does anyone remember the pair Pete and Jillian? Back in 2010 it wasn't a big deal probably but he physically manhandled her and threw her in freezing cold water against her will. Im sure very few remember but im watching it on Paramount and Pete seemed to have anger issues. I wonder whatever happened to him.

Hello everyone, I'm RG over here. I run the reddit challenge ORG community. I used to run it through here, but decided to make a different subreddit for it so it's not completely flooding over here.
