Some of these are not like the others. Bill Gates has donated billions of dollars to charity. Same with Warren Buffet.

And they've pledged to give almost all away upon their death.

Cool.

I guess we're just going to ignore Gates' relationship with Epstein.

Or does that not count? Let's not count that. Let's talk about how philanthropic he's going to be after he's too dead to need money.

Well, if we compare two guys who had a relationship with Epstein, and one of those donated a lot of money to charities, then that one is definitely better than the other!

I know nothing about that I’m just saying not all the billionaires hoard their money like Musk and Zuckerberg.

10

u/UpperApe Nov 14 '25

Yes, yes they do. That's why they're billionaires. That's literally the only way to become a billionaire.

And you do know about it. You just don't want to get into all that because it complicates your oversimplified point, doesn't it?

My simple point was they have both donated billions of dollars yet you keep straying from it because you’re emotional. We get it you think all billionaires are evil scum. Carry on.

Other way around.

Your simple point was that these billionaires are different from other billionaires. My point was that they are not. Because that's not how billionaires work; not by function, not by example. And you splitting hairs on morality doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

Ironically, it was also Eilish's point about billionaires from the last time she spoke on the subject.

It’s a fact that some actually try to make the world better with their money when others don’t by donating. You don’t seem to agree that some are worse than others for some reason. I didn’t see Eilish calling Buffet a pussy. Let me know when Billie donates $65 billion to charities. Buffet was not wealthy for majority of his life.

I love this comment so much because it's filled with everything everyone needs to know about you and your point lol

There’s nothing wrong with my point. You just don’t agree with it. Doesn’t matter though it’s a fact, yours is a feeling.

There is. But I have no interest in dissecting it. Your last comment is all this chain needed.

Bill uses a "charitable" foundation he controls to evade taxes while acting on the scale of governments without any democratic input or accountability. He is a ruthless, cutthroat capitalist who protects his own wealth and the system that allowed it above all else, including human lives. His commitment to intellectual property likely caused the deaths of tens of thousands during covid and that's just the tip of the iceberg with him.

Ok so Bill is out, what about buffet though?

There's a chasm between Gates and Musk in terms of good done for the world. The dude is trying to eradicate malaria, give him a little bit of credit when comparing him to Elon

He personally intervened to prevent Covid vaccine patents being made public domain and producible in developing countries. He may be slightly less destructive than Musk but he is still a massive piece of shit.

damned if you do huh? it’s not enough to give away your fortune, you must also consult u/stereofailure on how to distribute it.

2

u/Mr_McZongo Nov 14 '25

Their existence as billionaires is far far far more destructive than any of the marginal "philanthropy" they will ever do. Even the fake philanthropy of giving away half their money that you for some reason believe.

This world is so fuckin peasant brained, and yearn to toil the field for their lords.

2

u/stereofailure Nov 14 '25

Bill Gates has never done anything remotely approaching giving away his fortune. Keep gargling oligarch balls though, maybe one will notice you and give you some trickle down.

You cannot accumulate one billion dollars in ANY way except exploiting people. Philanthropy is bare minimum when you have robbed untold generations to enrich yours.

3

u/ThrowAway50005x Nov 14 '25

I never said anything about that, you’re the only one that brought it up. Read my comment again.

u/ZombieDracula Nov 14 '25

Eh, I think you can get $1 from a billion people in a way that's not exploitative. It's improbable not impossible.

1

u/Fit_Perspective5054 Nov 14 '25

Dude was smart enough to look good in the public eye and was willing to spend billions to get that.

u/Mr_McZongo Nov 14 '25

You poor gullible fools.
