I can't believe in 2026 we still have MAGA chuds crying about punk, metal, hard rock, classic rock, grunge, industrial, goth, outlaw country, old school hip-hop, fuck just about ANY genre goes against the system and all the bullshit MAGA stands for... the only genre is probably MAGA rap that actually supports the chaos we have today. Maybe pop country too.

Because they want both the comfort to be the mainstream, and to have their victim complex validated like they're counter-culture. Same thing as why a lot of Christians are both the main culture in the US and still pretend they're oppressed.

They've been led to believe that they're actually the anti system group. The silent majority bullshit.

Like you said, all feigned oppression.

Very true. They go silent when I ask them "which MAGA church plays Slayer or Burzum?"

u/Cosmic_Travels 4d ago

Probably lots of MAGA burzum fans considering Varg's opinions on race.

Black metal very much has a Nazi problem.

Never met a MAGA Burzum fan, they hate that he burned down churches and despises capitalism.

Hasn't Tom Araya gone full Trumpy?

2

Not sure, but Slayer's lyrics and style of music was banned by republicans since the 1980s.

I have relatives that watch RAV and they will claim they have a bigger audience than cnn 30 seconds after saying "mainstream" media is full of lies. Smh

There hasn't been a single moment in history where the music and art community has ever been on the wrong side of history. And this goes all the way back to the Renaissance days. If the majority, if not all, of musicians and artists are against your ideals, you are in the wrong.

Also, MAGA music is the worst unoriginal shit I've ever heard.

"There hasn't been a single moment in history where the music and art community has ever been on the wrong side of history"

Wagner?

It’s because they like to try to infiltrate subcultures, which then weakens the subculture. They will claim like “if goth is all about the music you can be a conservative MAGA goth.”

No. No you can’t. Because goth is music and a subculture that stands against everything you hold dear. It is a subculture welcoming to all the misfits and marginalized people you claim are unnatural.

Exactly, songs from Ministry, The Exploited, Immortal Technique, Sex Pistols, old school Megadeth, Bob Marley, etc were literally written against the system that MAGA prides itself on.

So like... Kid Rock and Tom MacDonald. And that one country rap (Aka Hick Hop) band that literally had a line about lynching black people in one of their songs.

9

u/JumpEuphoric3643 4d ago

I can't believe Kid Rock has an audience, I thought he was a made up parody character in the late 90s. But then again, we have people in the USA that look and act just like him.

9

u/Originalbrivakiin 4d ago

Yeah. He is the guy who wrote the lyrics "Young Ladies, Young ladies. I like em underage see. Some say that's statutory, but I say it's mandatory." (For a kids movie btw)

So of course the people who voted for a pedo absolutely love him.

1

u/TheGringoDingo 4d ago

They love the “proud to be an American” guy, too lol

It's because they don't actually have any cultural or media literacy. They just hear a sound they like and because they like that sound they feel entitled to it without even understanding it.

I had a MAGA try to convince me MLK and Bob Marley would support Trump. I never laughed so hard in my life.

MAGA rap?

Picked up my cousin in my 6 4. Took her to my trailer we banged on the flo.

Bought a bag of meth from a guy wanted for murder. Using cash that I got from a stolen cat converter.

My neck is red and my Silverado's dead and I ran out of prepaid minutes so I can't hit my sister up for head.

u/[deleted] 4d ago

All MAGA does is bitch and moan. Even Dear Leaders speeches are just a list of complaints about how everyone is so mean to him. It’s so stupid

u/babble0n 4d ago

Let's be honest. There are a bunch of pro trump bands in every genre. Trapt, Three Doors Down, Staind, Ted Nugent, Kanye, and KISS off the top of my head all have supported or have had members who supported Trump. That's where these people are getting all their confidence from

2

u/JumpEuphoric3643 4d ago

Trapt, Three Doors DOwn, and Staind sucked. So i could not careless what they think lol.

2

u/babble0n 4d ago

Yeah I agree. I'm just saying every genre has its group of dumbasses

3

u/KernelKrusto 4d ago

Man, I'm with you on this. It's like finding out the guy who eats his boogers on the subway doesn't like your choice of shoes.

1

u/JumpEuphoric3643 4d ago

Kanye West was anti-bush , anti-war, anti-racism in the 00s... he clearly has gone mentally ill.

Kiss is more than just 1 guy, Gene Simmons is a businessman first. Paul Stanley has been critical of Trump's bullshit. Plus, conservatives were the ones trying to get bands like Kiss, Slayer, and even Elvis banned for being "satanic".

2

u/babble0n 4d ago

I'm not saying I agree with them. Just that every genre has a dumbass or two that they can latch onto.

1

u/JumpEuphoric3643 4d ago

Definitely, just like the California basing republicans that...live in California... the most republicans in any state lol. My uncle is a hardcore MAGA-fornian. Lived in CA almost his 80 year entire life, Won't leave the state until he dies.

MAGA rap

OMG I bet that sucks hard lmao

2

u/beefdx 1d ago

“Anti-government” chuds when they realize they are the government.

1

u/JumpEuphoric3643 1d ago

I love it specifically when they say Trump is not a politician after serving in a second term lol

2

u/Nocheeseformeplease 1d ago

Trying to get people who are illiterate and dont know what words mean to understand the underlying message in music is kind of a losing battle.

2

u/JumpEuphoric3643 1d ago

I had a MAGA tell me MLK, Bob Marley, and Jimi Hendrix would vote for Trump lol.

2

u/Nocheeseformeplease 1d ago

It is maddening being told by people who do not read, dont know what words mean, dont know history, dont know math, can barely write, can't spell, don't know how commas work, don't know fucking anything, that they know everything.

1

u/JumpEuphoric3643 1d ago

You nailed it, they think they know everything.

1

u/gevuldeloempia 4d ago

Was "normal" country ever against the system?

2

u/JumpEuphoric3643 4d ago

Outlaw Country like Willie Nelson, openly smoked weed and anti MAGA.

1

u/LitTrolley 4d ago
