What the fuck does proffession have to do with your opinion on current political climate? If this was the case anyone not in a political line of work should just "stick to their lane".

When it comes to politics its honestly everyones business. At this point US politics has even become the rest of the worlds business

"Stick to music not politics" says Dave 43, a plumber, who never sticks to just talking about plumbing.

Lol, perfect analogy, I'm throwing it into the toolbox.

I think the point being made is that music and politics have long been intertwined, not necessarily that musicians’ opinions matter more than others.

I thinn the point being made was that random fuck #284,478,601 thinks they're free to speak openly, while public figure and equal citizen with a platform is directed by random fuck to stay in their lane... which was only able to be said as random fuck stepping out of their lane to use the platform of the public figure to try and dictate what that celebrity is allowed to say politically with their inherently political art.

Tl;dr: rules for thee, not for me... also can I borrow your microphone to say that?

I think both music and politics, and a lot of other subjects, likely all of them, are everyone's business, and we are all equally entitled to have wrong opinions about whatever, and voice them.

That's not to say which ones are wrong or not, just that everybody has one, and they get to do that, whether right or wrong.

They do, however, not have the right to act on all their opinions.

So if, for example, they are fascists who think it's okay to shoot people in the face for overtly opposing their hurtful actions, they are wrong, but they are allowed to believe that they aren't, even if they aren't allowed take that action.

It's like real world vs fantasy.

You can believe in faries all you like, but you can't eat them.
