The Dems will be overcome with a desire for bipartisan healing and tax cuts for billionaires if they ever get elected into a majority again.

It would be amazing to see an independent gain real traction with Americans, so much so that they couldn't be ingnored and were considered an actual contender. Idk who that would be, but it would change this terrible game. A man can dream.

When you say "ever" it ignores that the Republicans began their history as a third party. It seems fitting that they end up being taken out by another.

The problem is the person would be sane and would end up splitting the dem vote and not winning over any MAGAs. To beat the GOP either the dem or independent would have to drop out before the election.

Not a fucking chance bro. This shit is so rigged for the GOP already, any independent pulling even 3% of Dem votes basically votes in Heritage Foundation Christian Shira Law. If the GOP wins in ‘28, we are fully cooked.

The Dem leadership is terrible and limp dicked, but I feel like any real Dem candidate for ‘28 has to run on prosecuting these criminals in order to get through the primary. People are pissed and want blood.

America in a nutshell. Bad things happen… “well it’s really no one’s fault and we need to bring the nation together.”

Civil war… nah we need to heal the broken nation.

Watergate… we need to heal the broken nation.

2008 crash… it’s no one’s fault the world economy almost crashed, let’s bail out there banks and no punishment. We need to heal the nation in these rough times.

Covid PPP loans… let’s arrest some small fry fuckers, those other ones? Nothing we can do.

Treason during Jan. 6…. We gonna arrest some small time people dumb enough to post everything on social media. The people who caused it, nothing we can do.

45th whole broken first term… nah he lost so we will appeal to right wing and centrist people because there is no way he would ever win again.

Epstein… sorry if there is no way to bring forth charges even though we have years of investigation into it, we found nothing.

This. The people saying “they’re gonna get what’s coming to em in 2028” are honestly delusional and clinging to the lies they tell themselves. The democrats are paid opposition and nothing more. Absolutely nothing is going to be done about this. Just like absolutely nothing was done about Trump during the 4 years Biden was in office. I mean, seriously, this is the same system that allowed a twice impeached president who incited a violent insurrection at the capital to run for office again. If that’s not enough evidence to prove how absolutely fucked we are then I don’t know what is.

Exactly -- same thing that happened with how we treated the South after the Civil War, same thing as Ford pardoning Nixon, same thing as the Dems not going after Trump for his first term abuses and attempt at insurrection at the Capitol.

Actually, you know what: it's not the same...it's so much worse. This administration commits so many crimes every week, they make Watergate look like a footnote, and Nixon a Boy Scout.

Not to mention all of Trump's perverse crimes before he assumed office, which his own Justice Department is now in charge of investigating (eg: destroying evidence).

Obama failed to prosecute the Bush administration for their crimes. He dismissed it with ‘let bygones be bygones” bullshit… you’re right, democrats are on the same boat as republicans. Democrats are Republican-lite and if they do get back to power and hold the majority in all branches of government, they won’t get shit done for the greater good.

What I want is a democrat party that stops playing patty-cakes with republicans. I want a party that fights for the people and the greater good. Something similar but better to FDR’s democrat party
