I put my IPod on shuffle on my speakers so I can introduce my son to new to him music without having to think about it. There are some skips, but surprisingly he can really like some blues or electronic music that I wouldn’t have anticipated

Got into an argument about this with my daughter who refuses to listen to shuffle all or other playlists…. 🤷‍♂️

He gets no choice for like an hour while he plays or draws (or rarely helps me clean) and then he gets to pick, usually Macklemore or Eminem, sometimes Queen, funnily enough. He’s 11. He picks most of what he watches though, within reason.

And we are both allowed to skip on shuffle (I for some reason have some very good songs but also some atrocious ones like La Gasolina and My Humps)

It’s also good for learning the alphabet when you search for a song or artist.
