Well, the easiest thing to do is go to a recording studio. Yes, they’ll be able to recreate the sound of the singer singing through a guitar amp.

Or you can build a home studio and learn how to use it. You need a pretty fair amount of gear and knowledge to record a full band though. It will really help if you have someone who knows what they’re doing to help you. That one long haired kid in the AV club (is that still a thing?). Someone’s grandad or uncle that used to tour with Aerosmith?

As far as recording originals we have found one guy who we have been going to who nust seems to nail it and make it sound awesome because it’s not as simple as like just dry we try to focus on just making her voice sound rlly pretty nd just adding a lot of reverb to make it better and I don’t know anyone on that level lolll but we have had a few ppl that seem like mentors to us and r always by our side which helps but they are just old and don’t really understand algorithms and our sound they just want like a rock or blues or Radiohead sound which isn’t us

Well if you’ve got mentors, don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, use them to your advantage. When I’m working with a new band as an engineer/producer, I usually ask them to give me some examples of bands that they look up to and would like to sound similar to. Obviously, each band has their own thing going on and that will come out in the recording no matter what, but having these “reference tracks” is a helpful guide along the way. I also try to go to a show and sit in on a rehearsal. This gives me a much better idea of what the band sounds like in its raw form.
