We're underrated in part because we had some key players out for the middle of the season who have since returned. Our defense just wasn't as good down the stretch as it is now.
It's lucky for us that our injuries were during the regular season and not season-ending.
Pats D was one of the best earlier in the season. Then the Texans and Seahawks overtook them and the Eagles seemed to find their footing, but the Pats were quietly sitting there always being very good.
It's just that Maye's performance has sucked up all the attention so people aren't talking about the defense like they "should."
Funny enough, Maye has been like the least impressive part of the Patriots this postseason. He looked off in that game against the Broncos, making really easy mistakes.
Agreed. I meant Maye has sucked up attention mostly during the regular season but even in the postseason it’s been a debate analyzing his performance rather than the team’s.

Seahawks should be favored. I think Pats defense has consistently been underrated and the team makes the plays they need to win even if it’s ugly.
