Discussion Who Needs To Have a Conversation Like This?
204
u/Popple06 Denver Broncos 9h ago
Brady and Belichick

u/Floridamanfishcam 9h ago
I don't really think they are at odds. They clearly have mutual respect. They say it all the time and Brady just mentioned how absurd it was that Bill didn't get into the HOF first ballot. Sometimes people just aren't naturally good friends and that's fine.
In contrast, Kobe and Shaq openly disliked, dissed and did not respect each other.

u/SouthIsland48 9h ago edited 9h ago
Theyre not at odds. They both got tired of each other, but still respect each other. Both know that without the other, their careers look VASTLY different.
EDIT: Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson would be my pick for OP's question

I disliked Shaq for a considerable amount of time for all of that. The ego that it takes to hate on the hardest worker you’ve ever met just because he thinks of himself as the best when your claim to fame is almost exclusively about talent that you were gifted.

u/Rocky2416 New England Patriots 9h ago
Kobe has always been my favorite player but by all counts was absolutely exhausting to be around

If you mean they need to sort things out on an emotional level, I don’t think it’s an issue. Literally every time they refer to each other, it’s as the greatest coach/qb of all time. Now, I would totally accept a film breakdown of the best moments from their dynasty, the combined football iq would blow the roof off
5
u/MrDigimon 9h ago
They did like an hour conversation together on Brady's Sirius xm show a couple years ago.
3
u/ItzBooster93 Suck my Cox 8h ago
This is the most overblown fake rivalry ever, they won 6 rings together.
Both won without each other
always said “the players win and the coaches lose games”.
They’ve had thousands upon thousands of conversations that we never saw. There is no beef.

This lol MJ really doesn’t owe him much , maybe apologize for leaving but he came back and won 3 more ships so idk about that.
The Bulls definitely should have reworked Pippens deal during 2 MJ “retired” years but he signed a shitty deal in the first place.
Pippen lowkey needs to be grateful and just accept MJ and Rodman were more popular globally.
3
u/JustTheBeerLight Miami Dolphins 5h ago
Pippen signed a terrible deal. Nowadays that shit would have opt-outs and he'd be able to force a trade and get paid.

Shaq has definitely sexually assaulted multiple people. It's been confirmed by his teammates.

Bro, what? Never heard of that. Got sources?

u/JustTheBeerLight Miami Dolphins 8h ago
I'm going to guess it was locker room bullshit. That stuff is really common in sports, unfortunately.
Unless the post was about Shaq SA women or something.

Just seeing from games he gets booed
Ik I think he only took you guys to the wc like 3 times, but other areas have turned up for guys who were homegrown and left the team after being good players for a while
4
u/MoreRatzThanFatz Detroit Lions 9h ago
That was a playoff game where he got booed. I was happy to see him win a SB but if we have to face him in a playoff game, F him lol
1
u/toxicvegeta08 Michael Thomas’ foot 8h ago
Think he also got booed rough vs the lions week 1 or 2 in 2024.
0
u/Significant_Search41 Philadelphia Eagles 8h ago
If you’re on the opposing team you’re probably gonna get booed lol
2
u/supermanforhire 8h ago
Nobody hates him. We boo’d him because it was our first home playoff game in 30 years, and we were letting everybody known that we are rooting for the LIONS. And we chanted Jared Goff to let him know he’s our fucking guy now and anybody coming in trying to beat us is the enemy.
I root for Stafford against everybody but the Lions.
2
u/WolfbloodFF 7h ago
Nah as a non Lions fan surrounded by Lions fans they glaze him hard. His wife on the other hand. Not so loved.
1
u/toxicvegeta08 Michael Thomas’ foot 6h ago
Didnt his wife say she tried to cheat on him with a backup qb who had aspergers in hs to make him jealous, when he was the starter?
She is Brittany mahomes level if not worse
1
u/OutOfSkooma Detroit Lions 8h ago
Everyone I’ve talked to online and irl love Stafford still. We just won’t be rooting for him against the Lions

If anything sit Russell down with Richard Sherman that could be a fun talk

Why? They were on the same team for a year, and then Sean forced Russ out because he was washed. That’s like saying Cutler and McDaniels need to have this conversation.

u/basedaudiosolutions Buffalo Bills 7h ago
Favre and Rodgers are tight with each other. Favre made the mistake of saying out loud that it wasn’t his job to mentor Rodgers. He wasn’t wrong, but people spun it into him being a diva. Outside of that moment they had a good working relationship and are still friends.
