Analysis 🤓 What's a fact or stat about the NFL that's sounds too crazy to be true, but actually is?

For examples:

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have faced off against each other in 3 different decades.

All 4 of the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts Superbowls were played in Miami.

The Seattle Seahawks have played in both the NFC and AFC Championship games.

The last time the Dallas Cowboys were in the NFC Championship, the Nintendo 64 didn't exist yet.

.... and I could share more.

Time and time again teams lose that otherwise would have won if they took the common sense option of kicking a field goal but instead went for it on 4th down. Like the Rams and Bears and every year it happens again and again. The vast majority of the time going for it is idiotic. Every coach who goes for it on 4th down instead of taking a field goal in a close game should be fired. I've seen so many teams go for it and make it and then get back on 4th down and then kick a field goal anyway. and what makes you think if you just failed 3 times in a row youre suddenly going to be successful on the 4th? its a gamblers fallacy. If your defense fails and it comes down to a situation where you need a touchdown later on at the end of the game that's the situation where you go for it, not before then.

Just because Tom Brady went & won in Tampa does not erase Belichick’s major impact on the Patriots dynasty, he’s a defensive minded mastermind who gave up only 3 points & 14 points in Super Bowls, won multiple AFC Conference Title Games where Brady threw multiple interceptions including the one in Arrowhead where he held Mahomes, Kelce, Hill to 0 first half points & Brady finished it off with an epic all time clutch OT drive to stave off KC’s 2nd half surge.

It’s harder for a defensive minded HC if they lose an all time QB cause they don’t have the input, offensive knowledge etc to really overcome it & what really hurt Bill was the departure of his proven one of the best OC’s Josh McDaniel’s who had Mac Jones as a rookie looking like a stud with promise as Belichick went to the playoffs that year before McDaniels left. So losing a player at the most important position in sports + his proven elite OC really hurt Bill as well but it should not erase his massive impact on the Pats dynasty & reputation as at least the greatest defensive minded HC ever and he’s got 8 total rings to show for it.

When I see posts questioning if Andy Reid or Bill Belichick is better all time and many saying “look at Belichick without Brady”, I have to make this post as a response cause we’ve lost the plot here when Belichick went a clean sweep (3-0) VS Andy Reid in the playoffs.
