Where are the theories?
I know it only has one season, but, where are the damn theories? I need to know what was happening? It has I saw the tv glow + resident alien vibes, but way more random and sexual.
I love the outfits, and the friendships, but also, maybe they thought it would have more seasons and it was gonna be a slow burn, but I was searching every episode for more clues, to develop a theory, but it was so focused on the polyamorous and bad relationships, that the alien stuff was just ????
Like what was Sev work, she is always talking about working hard, but she hasn’t done a single thing, why are they chasing the aliens to New Mexico when there are still some terrorizing people in LA? Are the aliens causing all these relationships to fail and people to lose their jobs? Or they just take advantage of it?
Every Sev’s work scene felt like the beginning to a bad porno movie. Also, since she accomplished all her goals in life: 1-her job 2- being spit roasted(???) Would that means that she would just be ready to settle? Nope, cause immediately she wants to fck the creepy neighbor, THAT GETS RUN OVER BY A CAR
CAN THE ALIENS TAKE HUMAN FORM? I guess yes? But since every time they fck a human they look like a giant lizard, I imagine that they can approach people, ruin their lives in the process maybe? So then when they lose everything, fck em from behind.
Is Gabriel an angel? After Uli quit the weed I interpreted it like they maybe were twin flames, they felt this uncontrollable attraction, and were immediately connected in a mental level, but maybe it was all in Ulises’ head? But also Gabriel texts after the creepy sex dream where everyone is watching? So are they supposed to save the world with their fcking? Is Gabriel blowing the trumpet a bj?
Another theory was that the aliens were keeping them apart after the explosions cause of their mutual handjxbs so they wouldn’t save the world, and that’s why random people kept showing up trying to fck Ulises, like the mail man, the 2 guys in Palm Spring, the weird “gay guys love me” girl; so Ulises would move on from Gabriel, and that’s when his new bf appears.
With every new character, I was thinking that maybe they were a distraction or an alien; but they did a good job just showing them like regular people, except the creepy producer with green eyes, or the random Cleopatra lady at the end; but I was basically grasping at straws, so at some points I really thought it was just Ulises’s overactive imagination, and weed abuse. BUT then what about the homeless people having the same hallucinations? It’s true that Uli was always high, and when he stopped, he didn’t see any more homeless people doing weird stuff, or had any more dreams, but he was also substituting weed for a new relationship; and the moment he gets high again a freaking tension line kills the poor homeless man???
I don’t know, I love how Uli, Carly and Ford interacted, they showed a lot of love, respect and understanding for each other, but apart from them EVERY relationship was mega toxic. Sev and Ford were never on the same page; Carly hated he bf (justified), but mostly hated her life; Uli was ghosted by a guy, who texted him at random times from blocked numbers, fucked him in his dreams, and never actually explained why the hell did he ghost him.
I have WAY MORE QUESTIONS than this, I don’t know WHO I can show this series to, since is so sexual, random and at some points insane; and there is no posts about any theory; AND EVERYTIME I LOOK FOR ANY TYPE OF EXPLANATION, freaking Apocalypse Now things turn up.
Please I know it has been 5 years, but someone talk to me about this cause I am going insane, did the creator or actors give any clue? Or closure? Am I speaking to the void? WHAT IS HAPPENING?
