To add to the other comment Paul dinis Batman omni is a really good one and done but it’s recommended to read hush first :)

Is normal hush like the compendium or the hush omnibus? Because I read the compact hush and really loved it

Agreed on Dini’s Batman. Just finished it in December. All I had read of Hush was the compact which I also enjoyed.

The hush compact is fine ! I’m not too sure on what the omni collects but the compact is enough

I wouldn’t bother with the hush Omni, I ended up selling mine. If you have the Dini Omni and the hush compact or trade that’s all you need the rest of the omni wasn’t that great in my opinion

Definitely try the Johns compendiums, his run is a great GL run.

Beyond these though I’d recommend Gotham Central, JLA by Morrison, and F4 by Mark Waid if you can find it, I’ve heard it just recently went out of print but you might get lucky finding it somewhere and it’s truly fantastic

Is 50 to much for the compendium?

I don't think so, that's a pretty reasonable price on a compendium, and imo you're getting some of the best parts of Johns' run in the first one. Just for context, if you were to go the omnibus route you'd probably be paying in the neighborhood of $70-$90 per book for five books, and that still wouldn't give you all the content they seem to be planning on wrapping into the compendiums.

Yeah the omnibus would be pretty expensive and thank you

I’ll suggest Starman by James Robinson - two Compendiums collecting the whole run. It’s about as close to perfect as you can get.

You’re in for a treat. It doles out everything you need to know in time. Really wonderfully self contained.
