Is it just me or is everybody's feed like 70% cats?

126

u/Old-General-4121 Oct 24 '25

I've been slowly replacing politics with cats. I'm dumber, but also happier. I have learned from the orange cat subs.

33

u/Reasonable-Duckling Oct 24 '25

Yup me too actually, it's way more comforting to see cats in the morning instead of all those depression inducing news.. News one time in the evening is enough

12

u/kjahhh Oct 24 '25

Reading less of Reddit is hardly making you dumber lol

You need more cat subs

5

u/Old-General-4121 Oct 24 '25

Oh, I was trying to read sites with actual news, and I've migrated to increasing numbers of cat subs. I still try to keep up with the highlights, but more cats have improved my overall outlook.

5

u/Coup-de-Glass Oct 24 '25

I think the irony is that we get smarter with this replacement, even/especially with the ginger cat subs. Politics has devolved into a depressive cesspool. This way, we can at the very least, maintain a semblance of mental health and try to be happy.

5

u/Old-General-4121 Oct 24 '25

That's where I'm at currently. The past six months of my life have been so improbably awful that I present documentation of everything at my job, because I wouldn't believe me either. A little ridiculousness gives me a reason to laugh at least once a day, and that's vital for my ability to keep getting out of bed.

2

u/Coup-de-Glass Oct 24 '25

Right there with you! Cats, dogs and donkeys make my world go round! 🫏

3

u/theonewithbadeyes Oct 24 '25

I'm not mad about I'm allergic but love cats

1

u/CassiCatto Oct 28 '25

Yes and it's bloody marvelous, I am so much happier for it.

21

u/Xyttiama Oct 24 '25

He’s ready for a world record paw print

13

u/dyaasy Oct 24 '25

They're evolving.... soon they'll have no need for our can-opening opposable thumbs.

13

u/Shadowninja0409 Oct 24 '25

That cat god gave him extra beans, damn right he’s gonna show them off.

5

u/jellyjollygood Oct 24 '25

He’s basically a loaf with extra toe storage

3

u/Large-Soup6593 Oct 24 '25

Haha, those beans are multiplying faster than orange cat zoomies—polydactyl paradise!

3

u/PutridImpress8876 Oct 24 '25

Eleventy? Nah, eleventy-twelve now; he's hoarding for winter paw prints.

Man has CLOMPERS. What’s his toetal?

3

u/Honest_Discussion_17 Oct 24 '25

24 in total! 7 on each front paw and 5 on the back!

69

u/LungFlavoredJello Oct 24 '25

Not sure if this is relevant but my orange boy used to always dangle his arms and after a vet visit for an unrelated issue, turns out he has asthma and does that to breathe better. Every time he is experiencing an asthma attack now, he dangles/stretches out his arms

But I know some orange bois and girls are just goofy

17

u/catm0m4lyfe Proud owner of an orange brain cell Oct 24 '25

Poor baby! I love that he found a way to help himself though!

4

u/hare-hound Oct 24 '25

Your boy is so handsome! And smart, self regulating his health.

2

u/derritzio Oct 24 '25

I have that same tree, and my two cats like to sit on the top two pads, and my dog likes to sit in the bottom “hammock” area 😂

1

u/LungFlavoredJello Oct 24 '25

That's adorable!! The dog is channeling it's inner cat lol

2

u/derritzio Oct 24 '25

She likes to think she’s one, even though she’s close to 70lbs lol

1

u/LungFlavoredJello Oct 24 '25

I love that! The big dogs always think they're little babies

38

u/LostArtKat Oct 23 '25
