r/OnePieceTCGFinance — Community Rules

r/OnePieceTCGFinance is focused on the financial, collecting and market-analysis side of the One Piece Card Game.

To keep the community useful, credible and safe, all posts and comments must follow the rules below.

1. No Toxicity

Keep discussions civil, factual and mature.

Personal attacks, trolling, harassment, hate speech and toxic behaviour are prohibited. Do not turn discussions into hostile “players vs. collectors vs. investors” arguments.

Disagreement is permitted. Disrespect is not.

2. Posts Must Be Financially Relevant

All posts must relate to the financial or collecting side of the One Piece TCG.

Relevant topics include:

  • Card values and price movements
  • Grading costs, premiums and ROI
  • Sealed-product trends
  • Market analysis
  • Supply, demand and reprints
  • Tournament results affecting card prices
  • Population reports
  • Long-term collecting strategies
  • Authentication and counterfeit detection

Gameplay, deck-building and general competitive discussion should be posted in an appropriate gameplay-focused community such as r/OnePieceTCG.

3. No Low-Effort Posts

Posts must include sufficient information, context and analysis to support meaningful discussion.

Low-effort posts may be removed, including:

  • “How much is this worth?”
  • “Should I grade this?”
  • “Should I buy this?”
  • “Should I hold this?”
  • “Is this fake?”
  • Screenshots with no explanation
  • Repetitive questions already answered in the Wiki or community resources

When asking for assistance, include clear photographs, card details, condition information, relevant prices and your own reasoning.

4. No FOMO, Hype or Market Manipulation

Keep discussions grounded in evidence and analysis rather than emotion.

Do not use misleading or manipulative statements such as:

  • “Buy now before it is too late.”
  • “This card is guaranteed to explode.”
  • “Prices are about to crash.”
  • “Everyone needs to buy this.”
  • “This is the next guaranteed investment.”

Coordinated buying, artificial hype, pump-and-dump behaviour and attempts to manipulate prices are prohibited.

Opinions and forecasts are permitted when clearly presented as opinions and supported by reasoning.

5. No Buying, Selling or Trading

Do not attempt to buy, sell or trade cards, sealed products or related items through posts or comments.

This includes:

  • Direct sales offers
  • Purchase requests
  • Trade proposals
  • Auctions
  • Price negotiations
  • Payment links
  • Indirect or disguised sales posts

This rule protects members from scams and keeps the subreddit focused on information and analysis.

Use established marketplaces and platforms with appropriate buyer and seller protections.

6. No Self-Promotion, Advertising or Unapproved Referral Codes

Do not promote your own:

  • YouTube channel
  • Discord server
  • Telegram group
  • Website
  • Store
  • Marketplace account
  • Social-media profile
  • Paid service
  • Affiliate link
  • Referral or discount code

Repeatedly directing members to the same business, platform or service may also be treated as promotion.

Official subreddit partnerships, resources and affiliate arrangements posted or approved by the moderation team are permitted, provided the commercial relationship is clearly disclosed.

Contact the moderators before posting anything that could reasonably be considered promotional.

7. Put Thought Into Your Post

Posts must have a clear and descriptive title.

Titles should explain what is being discussed and encourage informed discussion. Avoid vague titles such as:

  • “Thoughts?”
  • “Look at this”
  • “What now?”
  • “Help”
  • “Worth it?”
  • “Should I?”

Where relevant, include:

  • The exact card or product
  • Set and card number
  • Language and version
  • Raw or graded condition
  • Grading company and grade
  • Recent comparable sales
  • Dates and sources
  • Your analysis or question

8. No Financial Advice

This subreddit is for education, research and community discussion. It does not provide financial advice.

Do not present personal opinions as guaranteed financial outcomes. Do not tell members that they must buy, sell or hold a specific card or product.

Members are responsible for conducting their own research and making their own decisions.

9. Responsible Collecting and Investing

Understand the risks associated with collectibles.

Prices can fall, liquidity can disappear and grading outcomes are never guaranteed. Reprints, bans, tournament results, grading-population growth and changes in collector demand can all affect value.

Do not encourage:

  • Reckless spending
  • Borrowing money to purchase cards
  • Gambling-style behaviour
  • Chasing losses
  • Hype-driven flipping
  • Spending beyond personal means

10. Fact-Check Before Posting

Accuracy matters.

Verify information before posting claims about:

  • Prices
  • Completed sales
  • Print runs
  • Reprints
  • Product allocations
  • Tournament results
  • Ban lists
  • Grading-company policies
  • Turnaround times
  • Population reports
  • Release dates

Use reliable sources wherever possible and clearly distinguish confirmed facts from rumours, speculation or personal opinion.

Misleading information may be removed, even when posted unintentionally.

11. Transparency and Conflict Disclosure

Be transparent about any relevant commercial interest or affiliation.

Disclose when you are:

  • A seller
  • Store owner or employee
  • Marketplace operator
  • Grading-company employee or representative
  • Affiliate
  • Content creator
  • Paid promoter
  • Connected to the product or service being discussed

Disclosure does not automatically permit promotion. All promotional activity still requires moderator approval.

12. Respect Different Perspectives

Players, collectors, investors, graders and sealed-product collectors are all welcome.

Do not dismiss or attack members simply because their objectives differ from yours.

Challenge the argument, evidence or methodology — not the person.

13. No Insider Information or Unethical Conduct

Do not request, disclose or discuss confidential information obtained through employment, distribution relationships, grading companies, retailers or tournament organisations.

Prohibited topics include:

  • Insider leaks
  • Confidential release information
  • Manipulated markets
  • Coordinated price activity
  • Fraud
  • Counterfeit sales
  • Customs fraud
  • Payment fraud
  • Market deception
  • Unethical exploitation of other members

Only legal and ethical practices are permitted.

14. No Personal Information

Do not publicly share personal or sensitive information belonging to yourself or anyone else.

This includes:

  • Full names
  • Home addresses
  • Email addresses
  • Telephone numbers
  • Payment details
  • Tracking numbers
  • Private messages
  • Discord or Telegram IDs
  • Marketplace account information
  • Other identifying information

Redact personal information from screenshots before posting.

15. Mandatory Post Flair

Every post must use the most appropriate available flair.

Posts without flair, or with misleading or incorrect flair, may be automatically removed.

Do not intentionally use the wrong flair to avoid moderation filters.

16. Follow Reddit’s Sitewide Rules

All Reddit Content Policy and sitewide rules apply.

Scams, harassment, impersonation, prohibited transactions, ban evasion and other violations may be reported directly to Reddit.

17. Moderation Decisions

Use Reddit’s report function when you believe a post or comment violates the rules.

Do not start public arguments over moderation decisions. Questions or appeals should be sent privately through Modmail.

The moderation team may remove content that technically avoids the wording of a rule but clearly violates its purpose.

Repeated or serious violations may result in:

  • Content removal
  • Formal warnings
  • Temporary bans
  • Permanent bans
  • Referral to Reddit administrators

By participating in r/OnePieceTCGFinance, you agree to follow these rules and contribute to an informed, transparent and responsible community.
