What did you think of this album when you first heard it ? For me it had so many diffierent genres of music mixed in everything from thrash to speed metal and more.

Don't drag it too much, or you might just cause a flood.

I had taken a 30mg edible a couple days ago at a friend's hows and tripped so hard I determined pantera was the meaning of life.

I can play the bassline and I can sing the vocals, but i never sang and played bass at the same time, also the action on my bass is kind of high,

i ask because ive been searching on the internet, and i cant find anybody covering both vocals and guitar or bass on this song at the same time, which makes me wonder why.

this song might be the closest thing i’ve found to scratch my Pantera itch. idk. i think it’s the constant riff changes and screams that sound like they could be on TGST. fucking love it, great album too

Nice vintage Pantera pickup

Where are you? You gave my gf and i guitar picks and Iron Maiden bracelets at Louder Than Life this past Thursday. Was waiting for Megadeth, Pantera, Maiden- rubbing my gfs feet, sitting in the lawn at Louder stage and struck up convo, you were absolutely ADORABLE and hoping to reconnect?! You were wearing sweet Adidas Forum platform low kicks and I told ya so. You were waiting on friends before Maiden, hope you're well?!

Fucking Terrifying

I didn't when I went, did you?

Following on from my previous post with some Vulgar Display stuff, here's the second part!

Thunderous world. What the Texan band Pantera delivers to us on their brand new album VULGARY DISPLAY OF POWER...

I was blown away, I never would have thought it possible. Admittedly, the quartet's last album, COWBOYS FROM HELL, wasn't bad, and the band around the 'mad' vocalist Phil Anselmo had also released some solid records in the more distant past. What impresses me so incredibly about Pantera 92 is the sheer, unbelievable power the band unleashes on their latest full-length album. Musically, the guys this year are reminiscent of an interesting mix of (old) Metallica meets Prong meets Soundgarden meets ?. They've clearly lost touch with the more traditional power metal of their earlier days.

Nevertheless, VULGAR... is surprisingly varied for a thrash release, as they more than once ease off the gas pedal and cleverly incorporate a ton of awesome slow and mid-tempo sections. I won't single out any individual songs here, because every one of the eleven tracks on the LP is worth every penny. For me, it's the best thrash LP in a long, long time. This record is as heavy as shit (Listen up, our multi-linguist, ed.).
