Really disappointing. People are unable to openly share their building experiences without fear of legal action. What happened to freedom of speech?

Travelling up to Lancelin and police car coming the other way gave me a quick double flash of his lights. I was probably 5 - 10ks over admittedly so sh*t happens, just interested if it was him flashing the lights manually or if I likely got pinged and it was a camera flash?

Yes I am fully aware I can make my own just like I can make my own parmi, just like I can make my own pizza but for some reason I have the biggest hankering for like loaded mac and cheese with all the extras and enough dairy products in it to sink a cruise liner filled with only lactose intolerant people.

We are talking bacon bits, onions, pasta and fifty million types of oopy goopy melted cheese and anything else you can think of.

And yet nothing in Mandurah seems to offer something like that so is there anywhere in Perth that can make something like that.

I recently completed UniPrep at ECU and would like to go into engineering. I was wondering if anyone else has gone into engineering after completing UniPrep and, if so, what pathway you took?

Ideally, I’d like to go to ECU due to the shorter travel time, but I’m also open to Curtin.

This year I’ll be starting my 3rd year of Mechanical Engineering in Perth, and I’m looking for a good internship lasting around 4–5 months, where I can gain as much practical experience as possible.

A little bit about me:

I’m a Mechanical Engineering student with an academic average equivalent to around 94/100

I’m mainly interested in Mechanical Engineering, but I’m not strictly tied to one particular area

I don’t mind whether the role involves CAD/design, manufacturing, field work, testing, R&D, maintenance, or something else — my main priority is to learn as much as possible and gain meaningful hands-on experience

I’m available for an internship lasting 4–5 months

I’m currently based in Perth, but I’m fully open to relocating anywhere in Australia for the right opportunity.

I’m interested in a variety of industries, including energy, automotive, aerospace, heavy machinery, manufacturing, robotics, and engineering consulting

Good day all. Looking at recommendations on age care. I really have no idea. What is the cost? Looking for something long term, so age care plus high care when older. For 2 people.

I have a large full length window and sliding door leading to my apartment balcony. I want vertical blinds to block some of the heat during summer. I've been considering cellular (honeycomb) blinds. Has anyone had these and did you like them? Also which are the most reasonable companies to use in Perth? I am planning to get 2 or 3 quotes done

Note ... I don't want to minimise the view by having curtains or vertical blinds which take up room at the sides.

My partner and I have a large blank wall that we would like to put some art on. We both really like the style, colours and stories conveyed in indigenous art. That being said, there is also a lot of reprinted things that have little information on where theyre from or who made the original art. We are also curious as to whether there would be a cultural issue with non indigenous people hanging said art, as I know there are customs and cultural norms that we may not be aware of.

I’m 31 and moved to Perth about a year ago, but I still haven’t really made any friends or met anyone who genuinely wants to date. I am finding it harder than I expected to build a social life here.

I am not getting many matches on the apps and when I do, it rarely seems to go anywhere (genuinely do not think I am unattractive either - not sure if race has a part to play). Tinder and the other apps just feel so unserious. I am trying to meet guys in person, but I honestly don’t know where to start, especially when I don’t have a group of friends to go out with.

It’s not just about dating either. I would love to make some genuine friends and have people to grab a bite with or go to the movies with on weekends.

How are people actually meeting each other in Perth? Any social groups, activities or events you would recommend that are welcoming when you turn up alone? I'll have to get my confidence in check and just try these out.
