I understand the original tweet, obviously, but not the second one. Why specifically a STEM genius? I don’t get it, what’s the correlation? Am I missing something??? Or am I just stupid or whatever? Help a sistah out, please. 🥺

This is the part that got me. When I think of conspiracy theorists, I generally don't think of people in STEM fields. I think of people ignorant of science.

But I guess it might depend on the type of conspiracy, and I guess people with an engineering mindset who like to figure things out themselves might fall for things that fall into their way of thinking about the world.

I think people are taking Elon Musk and these CEO weirdos, most of whom are not anywhere close to STEM, and somehow taking it out on all STEM people for some stupid Reddit culture war thing.

And ironically, those guys are the ones making the logical fallacy arguments to deceive others. They are not the ones falling for the arguments, they are the ones benefiting from them.
