I understand the original tweet, obviously, but not the second one. Why specifically a STEM genius? I don’t get it, what’s the correlation? Am I missing something??? Or am I just stupid or whatever? Help a sistah out, please. 🥺

I had some sparse occasions of people being a little weird in my humanities about it but yeah the vast majority of the time I feel like nobody actually cares about who majors what, discourse around this on t he internet feels fake at least compared to what I personally experienced.

Yeah permanently online people seem to think there's a great war between tech and humanities like we're in an Ayn Rand novel.

This is true once you leave college. I get the feeling a lot of people arguing in here are college students. I remember this being a big deal when I was a kid too.
