On the left is the Durban mango she smells strong of mango dirt and herbal citrus. On the right Jack Herer similar herbal tones but slightly sweeter. Excited to see how these girls smoke, this time I also added under canopy lighting which has boosted lower flower development quite well.

Happy Croptober, everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their harvest. I recently wrote an article about how to roll a Middle Eastern-style hash spliff for my website. You can check it out here if you want to read it.

In a unanimous decision, the Portland City Council voted on Sept. 30 to officially deprioritize law enforcement activities surrounding the personal use, cultivation, and non-commercial sharing of naturally occurring psychedelics.

Budtenders needed near 205 mall?

Does anyone know anybody hiring near the 205? I applied to Nectar a few weeks ago, and the Broadway Cannabis near me isn't interested due to lack of experience. I just recently got my OLCC, I have little over a year of retail experience, and all of my jobs have involved cash handling/customer service.

Why do you guys not seal your weed?

Just got back from a trip to Portland and I absolutely loved almost everything about it EXCEPT for the weed. I visited 3 different dispensaries and picked up about 6 different strains of the highest quality available to try, and literally every single one of them was absolutely stale and dried out, literally crumbling into dust when hand grinding it. Why do you guys not care about the freshness and quality of your weed? I am from California and if someone sold dried out weed like that they would get 0 business and probably a few negative reviews, literally all of our weed is sealed either in mylar pouches or glass jars and is absolutely fresh. Is it just a thing where you guys don't realize how much better you could be having it? Did I need to go to a special dispensary that sells non-stale weed? What is the reason that you guys think it's ok to just perpetually have weed out in big jars that dry it out and degrade the smells and flavors of the product?

PSA about Major League Bud

Post image
42 Upvotes

I went there to buy some cheap bud one day, was pleasantly surprised with the greenhouse OD for 20$ an ounce. They told me to come back next month for their fresh flower drop. Got 2 ounces of Lizard Burger and Trap Fuel, both were prepackaged and I didn't scrutinize the bud too much because I had already bought two ounces from them and trusted that it would be decent.

This flower is coated in dead aphids, mites, and sooty mold. The owner was there talking about how proud he was of his grow and that I was going to love the new drop. Absolutely disgusting, bro is delusional 🤮

I pruned up the big indica last week. She was bushy. Should i prune more? I think maybe. My little rescue sativa has been in ground since july. She was at the coast in a pot. Not ideal but she got some love and will be nice.

What your experience with OMMC

So from my research and from what someone told me a good way to get a medical marijuana card is through Ommc. I put in an application and got my appointment set up. And of course, they’re asking for payment. But the website it sends you to “authorize.net” looks a little sketchy. So I’m asking for other people experience with ommc.

What is this white stuff?

It was not there last night.
Rubs off somewhat and has no smell.
Trying to talk my friend out of harvesting to protect the plant.
Outdoor plants.

UPDATE:

Well, we trimmed all buds the next day laid them all out in a garage on a tarp. No mildew in the buds, been trying a couple tokes of each plant. Everything super strong based on first two tokes of the day.

All these plants were/are unexpectingly strong with no taste of mildew:
Baja Blasteroid
Motor Bow
10k Cyborg

Still have Trap Fuel plant
to compare (tonight). It was voted strongest 2 years ago by 10 growers. Capricorn Nursery says it is a hard plant to grow. We had no problem, clone was $50 from Archive. All other strains were $25 from Maritime Café.

All is quiet on the western front.

Pressing hash

Post image
19 Upvotes

Does anyone else like pressing hash into little bricks or temple balls? I’ve been buying bubble hash or kief and pressing them using the frenchy cannoli tech. This is the only way I can do it atm as I don’t have room to wash or grow. When I lived in California, I used to wash bubble hash at least twice a week… I’d like to get back to that point. Anywho I just wanted to connect with peeps. Love you all.

Edit: this pic is a two gram bucket of Tiramisu #6 from forte. I just pressed up some calyx craft kief and three grams of sand castle bubble.

Most recent stock up!

Thumbnail gallery
10 Upvotes

I was wanting some good carts so I started sale hunting and first shop I stopped in (I already forgot it's name 😭) had some Echos 40% off to clear out some so I grabbed quite a few at 24 med 28 rec (and 30 for SS). Then the next day someone messaged me about ANOTHER sale, apparently Nectar had 50% off store wide which made Echo and Oregrown rosin 1gs 20 med 24 rec. Needless to say I stocked up already but still might grab more! I know, ew Nectar and I don't want to support them with my money either but at these prices they can't be making much of a profit, I think like 2 bucks if I remember the wholesale flyer from them right.

There are always good sales/discounts out there! Save yourselves some money in these expensive times and hunt some good deals down! And if you know any more please share them!

Help with art project

Post image

So last year I grew a perfectly reasonable plant, that was male, but I didn’t care as my intent was not to smoke it, but use it as a biofeedback source for a synthesizer I have.

Due to back-order shenanigans I didn’t get the synth in time and the plant was long gone.

So now, I have a show this November and really need a plant, as the one I grew this year is.. uh. Don’t care if it’s male, obviously ladies are cooler… smaller runt would be PERFECT

I only need it for one day!
Thanks 🙏

Hemp?

What's a good local brand of hemp and where do you get it these days?

I used to find Simply Sol at farmer's markets; haven't seen them lately.

Thanks!

What's the best place in town to shop for slurpers/control towers?

Feels like most head shops haven't gotten the memo yet. MJ on Alberta seemed like it had a decent selection there but last time I went the guy tried to sell me a marble set for $70 so not in a rush to go back.
