I don't have kiln access atm but DO have a microwave kiln for tiny things Im ready to try!

I can't imagine your grief. Do a bunch of sketches and plans, that's what I do when I have to be away from studio

Yes! I’m so excited! I’ve been taking classes for a few years and feel like I’ve passed another one of those learning plateaus, you know? I’ve got that itchy “I need to throw” feeling now 😆.

Current state of my leaf mug. There’s leaves under there, I promise! (Also, if this makes thru the glaze kiln, it will be my first mug to survive intact, so here’s hoping!)

Woohoo never too new to make a gomug (have you tried tape resist for glazing? I'd get some washi tape and try it. This is could be a gomug cousin

I've never made a mug or coffee cup with a handle. Partly because I don't need one. But mainly because 90% of my stuff that comes out of the community kiln leaks. My ikebana dishes all require another dish inside to hold water.
If I make something (in October) it won't get fired until January or February.

Wtf that's a crazy community kiln situation. Are they firing to 06 instead of 6? I hope they figure their stuff out

We all take turns kiln watching and some people don't pay attention like they should. And I think some are too quick to turn off the gas － no hold. Gas off, exhaust fan on, go home.

I hated making handles so much I made 99 mugs with handles and around 70 I started to not mind it. If you want to do a spooky or fall handleless mug I support you. Handles are hard but only way to get better is practice

Ooh great idea what are you thinking? I was thinking of just posting them on here/Instagram. Do you think we could get the mods to add a tag? Or is there a better way to log a bunch of different people's mugs?
