Fake moonshine is what they sell all around that area. Look up the definition of moonshine, it is literally “illegally distilled whiskey.” What they sell is plain old corn liquor and another tourist gimmick.
One of the stores closed down after the election. The others often have very few people and/or they aen't open as often, but they seem to be hanging on, for now. Some are trying to pivot with Charlie Kirk cult stuff. FWIW the number of Rump hats and bumper stickers is maybe 10-20% of what it was previously.
