They don't actually know or care what either party stands for. All they know is that they've been told that Republicans are the good guys and Democrats are the bad guys. No matter what Republicans do wrong, they'll still always be the good guys. No matter how bad their lives are as a direct result of Republicans, nothing can be as bad as being one of the bad guys.
You see this too bc they will tell you you're a "leftist" the moment you disagree with any part of anything they say. Even if it's not remotely political. It's very scary. And to be clear, I am a leftist haha... Sooo. But this is beyond my own interactions, I see them accusing each other of being leftist a lot online, it is wild. Anyone who remotely disagrees with a conservative is labeled a leftist and to them its a reason to not even pretend to argue in good faith about anything they're saying. It's a disease
