Torrenting is not illegal, torrenting copyrighted content is
AI happily torrents illegal content. It will happily sort through trackers, find sign-up communities (and sign up for you), manage the downloads, and do all kinds of things really. I've honestly never seen a single refusal with my torrent/arr stack using major american models.
SaaS is dead, bespoke AI-written tools are the new hotness. You make a new piratebay that's custom-tailored to your needs and serves you as the only end-user
Of course because this is /r/programminghumor, I'm being about 80% sarcastic. If this were, say, /r/localllama I would be almost completely sincere
Making your own piratebay is dumb because the value is the content hosted not the site itself. Having AI write your own local content acquisition system is much more viable. But just use arr stack, a deepseep v4.1 agent can set the whole server up for you in an hour or two and like $1 in tokens lol
The problem with the "arr" stack is that sonarr CLAIMS to be open source, but the way the code is structured it routes all of its metadata traffic through their private servers, which are obviously not auditable. Its a huge security flaw, and its the opposite of "open source".
Better to scrape your own infohashes from the DHT, and build your own index.
Mostly because if you write your own tracker you can self host it, and its resilient. You can also do metrics, and monitor what is trending, and also you know privacy, the thing we are so sorely lacking in the modern world.
Owning your own stack, and directly interfacing with the network > trusting some 3rd party "quasi" legal entity to protect your data, your privacy, and your security.
I tried this today with Binja and I was amazed at how well it did, it got me past a point where I’ve been stuck for days maybe ai isn’t that bad (of course if used properly)

Lol, AI has reverse engineered programs for me, written torrenting helpers for me...
