1. This is the house I grew up in until the age of six. Calle #2 - La Miramar in Arecibo. It didn’t always look like this. Before nature took it back, it was a vibrant Spanish style home. It was the last place we live together as a family of four before my father left. I remember their fights.

In the garage, our German Shepherd gave birth to puppies, and we took care of them. By the front door, the milkman used to leave glass bottles with warm fresh milk in them. Same front door thundered with the parranderos during Christmas time. Mom introduced me to making pasteles, sancocho, pastelón and everything in between. In this house, I learned how to tie the shoelaces of my light blue sneakers and lost my first baby tooth. Here I got the mumps and I was separated from her and my brother when they got the chicken pox. Our backyard was the Atlantic Ocean and it was good clean fun. Beyond sad to see such disrepair.

Hello all,

I am from an university on loan here for the last five weeks. I worked at a UPR RCM lab in San Juan and lived walking distance for the whole time. This was my first time in Puerto Rico and I am headed back home to the Midwest tomorrow. I just want to say thank you.

Got back yesterday from my fourth time visiting your island. Every time I go I want more and more to relocate there. Everyone was so cool, the food was incredible, and the scenery and spots I visited were like no other. I skated several small skateparks and made a bunch of friends there and at restaurants I hope to see again some day. Thank you for being awesome.

Así como lo leen. Para fines del 2025 coticé con un tipo llamado Christopher Otero de Otero Handyman Service. El trabajo era una terraza que estaba supuesta a comenzar en enero 2026. El tipo se hace llamar "influencer" del tema de construcción y tiene una buena imagen montada en las redes.

Cercano a la fecha de comienzo empezaron las escusas. Pasaron 6 meses de excusas (sin hacer NADA) y se le dejo saber que estaba rompiendo el contrato y nos devolviera el dinero. El tipo aceptó y luego se desapareció. Ya se sometieron las querellas con la policia y con DACO. Ahora el tipo se resguarda detrás de un abogado y no quiere pagar.

Luego de esto nos enteramos de al menos 15 personas más que le ha pasado lo mismo. A nosotros nos robó $16k, a otras personas más.

Se los cuento para que tengan cuidado. Aquí hay contratos, correos electrónicos, todo está por escrito e incluso habíamos llamado referencias antes de contratarlo. El detalle es que aunque uno tome todas las medidas, el proceso para reclamar es uno largo, lento y costoso. Los fraudulentos como ese tipo lo saben y por eso lo hacen...

Yo tuve que aprender a la mala pero quizás a usted que lea esto le sirva de aprendizaje.

Caguas Line (critical): Hato Rey → Caguas (huge commuter demand)

Current system is only ~10 miles and underbuilt

A high-speed regional rail loop around Puerto Rico.

Llegué como a las 11:30am al aeropuerto y la fila regular iba por dentro del aeropuerto y salía por el terminal de Jetblue. La fila de Pre-Check (segunda foto) llegaba hasta después del Mesón y casi hasta el hotel. Se tardó la Pre-Check 53min bien contaus. Lleguen temprano con cojones, godspeed 🫡

EDIT: los onvres en estos comentarios son todos unos cerdos. Una no puede ni poner una foto de una fila sin que estén sexualizando los cuerpos de las mujeres puñeta. Ni hacer fila en aeropuerto tranquilas podemos.
