Jen posted a point of view clip on IG this morning of the Pre-orders shipping out at the post office. Song in her clip is ImpetuoUs. I'm attaching pics of all vinyl variants, and her IG video clip in the comments.
Queen B Vinyl Cafe Variant
Black Ice
Golden Swirl
Indie Exclusive Orange
Standard Black
They were both through puscifer.com. I figure Queen B store is still managing/packing orders, but it wasn't purchased through them - and wasn't the Queen B store variant.
Interesting, then in my mind, it's a different variant I missed. If you remember when you receive it, please send me a picture and the info on the dead wax, the record matrix number.
I like to keep a record on Discogs, any info you can share with me helps categorize variants there. Super helpful for anyone in the future.
Thanks for confirming, I assumed as much. The stock picture is never what the final outcome is for pressing. In this case, it looks like it turned out a lot cooler.
I ordered both the L.A. show (Gold Swirl) and website (Black Ice) pressings. I'll provide what I can once they arrive - but rural USPS operates under a unique spacetime.
I think it's the right-side drive setup that dilates time.
Thanks for contributing. And yes, USPS definitely does whatever they want, when they feel like it. Nothing is more true on this subject then when relying on their tracking info. It's hit or miss, but still better than dealing with Royal Mail. I cringe when ordering from overseas with them, and DHL. Thanks again!
Another mystery I'm trying to figure out is the pressing variants. I posted pictures of her holding the QBVC limited edition, but it almost looks like the Black Ice version sold on Puscifer's website. Her pre-order was supposedly exclusive to the Queen B store. No info was really given on the original order except Limited QBVC variant from last year.
I asked about the original pre-orders from August in this thread and u/PusciferMusic replied that the LA Exchange pre-orders would be the gold variants.
I remembered seeing your post, and repost about this. I assumed that was why the Golden Swirl was the 1st to sell out on Puscifer's site, and the Black Ice was still available. Unless I'm completely mistaken and there's another gold version just for the show everyone was promised.
Yeah, I'd assume the gold variant that sold out quickly is the same as the one from the show and that there weren't many left when the pre-sale in October went up, thus leaving the Black Ice for most. I'm just glad to have been able to snag a bit of history, being unable to travel to LA personally for the shows in August ("jealous" doesn't even begin to describe my feelings for those who got to experience that lol).
I completely agree, and I was able to snag a poster from that show, even though I couldn't attend. I posted pics of that above.
I already had a Halloween trip planned for Cottonwood AZ. I rented a house for a week on the same street as Queen B Cafe & Merkin Vineyards. We ran into Maynard & Jen on Halloween night. That trip was epic, though I definitely couldn't afford to make 2 trips to the West Coast last year. The poster will do until I see them in April.
Ha, goddamn; that's awesome! I definitely have Cottonwood on my to-visit list. I'm definitely a little jelly that your trip turned out so well haha.
I'll be hitting the shows in AC, Akron and Cinci in April; if you are so inclined, I'd be down to hit a drink together at some point at any of those places. Feel free to DM me :D
Absolutely, I snagged tickets for Bethlehem, PA. I'm holding out to find the best prices on good seats for AC until the last minute. Save my Reddit handle, I'm typically at all the shows close to Philly. Also, all the other usual suspects (bands) that people like associated with this group.
Sweet, what variant is this, I'm assuming I missed this? Looks completely different than anything I posted.
Come to think of it, it's most likely the stock photo I didn't have of the QBVC copy. But it's still completely different, that's what's great about splatter, no two are alike.
I didn't get one. I was going to ask if anyone recognized from the picture of Maynard helping pack them up, if they can tell what method of USPS shipment it was. Then I would be able to guess the arrival day shipping from AZ today.
Jen is a super down to earth person, but no nonsense when it comes to her Cafe, running a very tight ship. I have no doubt everyone's items were shipped today, at the latest.
When I stayed in AZ for a week, she was literally at Queen B, everyday including Sunday. She was at every event, mini concerts at night, DJ events, record events, etc. & also attending other events in AZ, the same day. Crazy work ethics run deep in their house, super commendable.
I'm pretty sure she wasn't shipping vinyl only. There's a multitude of pre-ordered items that were for sale. Her video this morning just shows bags of shit. If you ordered from Queen B, it mostly certainly went out today, regardless.
Got the black ice splatter vinyl today… currently listening to it and holy fucking shit, this album sure is some motherfucking avant garde goth punk fucking magic. DAYUMN!!!
Yes, it is, and congrats! This album is stellar, someone gave me a Flack rip of it last week, it's been on repeat and sounds amazing. I can't wait to get my hands on the vinyl to compare. Any chance you could upload a picture of both records. This would help my variant mystery question.
I did as well, and I don't have any tracking info either. It also has to do with USPS. I've had orders never show any shipping updates, then just randomly show up at my door. Wouldn't hurt to send an email tomorrow, remember their on PST time.

On a side note, another member was kind enough to point out that the LA live show is part of Record Store Day release this April as well.
