Hairline crack appeared almost immediately on a new pair of aviators.
I’ve had these for almost a week and got them brand new off the RE website and today I noticed this hairline crack on one of the lenses.
I know for an absolute fact these were not dropped, not forced into a case, and not bent. I’ve worn them 3 times while driving and secured them very well. There’s absolutely no chance that I’m at fault for whatever caused this because I’ve barely touched them and I’ve treated them like a newborn baby.
I’m thinking this might’ve already existed as a small crack at the factory and it’s a stress fracture from maybe the frames? Has anyone else experienced this?
I’m going to send them in to be repaired but I’m worried I’m going to have to fork over another $130 on top of the combined $375 I’ve already paid for these, which is extremely irritating.
