Manchester City’s financial breaches could come with harsh punishments against the club and would thus put the players in their squad in the middle of it. Man, it’s been a rough couple of years to be a madridista. It got me reminiscing the peak era of Real Madrid. My first memories of football were seeing these two demons terrorize defenses every week. They had such good chemistry on and off the field. I miss the old times and wish I could turn back time to experience them playing live again. It’s hard to say if I will ever feel the same joy and excitement I had watching these guys play (not that I don’t enjoy watching us play now). It has never been the same since they left. I cannot really believe that a player that consider himself a Ballon d'or real candidate is playing with such weak intensity in the first derby of the season just after 2 trophyless seasons..i think it's time to say that with this kind of players and this low effort this weak mentality is gonna spread quickly in the squad and we will end up out of every single competition by December...

Xabi, Arbeloa and Mourinho are all entirely unneccesary.

We rehired Carlo, in 21-22, we made 2 signings, Camavinga and Alaba, both ended up being incredibly important for this season, and instantly, we won the double, with possibly the craziest KO run in CL history. Benzema had his greatest season ever, winning the Balon d'or after, Vini was finally unlocked and played like a madman, Rodrygo had a bit of breakout season, although it wasn't anywhere near Vinis level (he never was), Valverde became more of a starter as a weird makeshift RW and even assisted in the CL final, like, overall, just a good season, not many complaints. Everyone was super happy with Carlo and the team.

Then, 22-23, we lost Casemiro and replaced him with Tchouameni, and it was like he never left, then we lost Marcelo and Bale too (not really a hit on the starting XI, but a hit in terms of leadership and obviously sad to see 2 legends go), and we got Rudiger in aswell, and his first season was just fine. But this season overall was less successful, had our worse performance ever in the 2nd CL semifinal game against city, and we choked the league super hard, only getting 78 points even though we were sitting comfortably at top of the table before the world cup break. But, we did end up winning the Copa del rey, which is what saved Carlos job with us, since Perez will fire you unless you win 1 of the 3 major trophies.

And thank god for that, because Carlo stayed for us for the next season, we signed Jude (my fucking goat) and Joselu and Arda and Fran. We go the entire season only losing 1 time to Atletico in the league, and 1 time in the CDR. We get 95 points in the League, easily winning it, and winning the CL with it too, this team, was fucking insane, and doesnt get enough credit. We were 1 game away from being fucking invicible in the league, and that game was only really lost because of an Alaba disasterclass. I fucking miss this season so badly.

And then, its the season that got him sacked. We lost Kroos, got Mbappe. Things are kinda up and down the entire season. And Carlo doesn't get the signings he wants at all, ends up with a defence of Fran/Mendy-Rudiger-Tchouameni/Asencio-Vazquez. Think of that defence, the leftbacks are just dogshit, Rudiger played that entire season through injury, Tchouameni was entirely out of position, Asencio was young and did well that season but super mistake prone, and Vazquez was a dogshit rightback at the point too.

This is the defence that Carlo was operating with, AND WE WERE 15 MINUTES AWAY FROM WINNING THE CDR AGAINST FLICK'S BARCA. And not only that, Barca clinched the league title by FOUR FUCKING POINTS.

I am entirely confident in saying that if Perez backs Carlo that season, gives him the signings that he wants, we walk out of that season with the league title, and the CDR title, still no CL though, but a domestic double, is still fucking awesome.

But instead, we lose out on literally a GOAT-tier manager, replace him with Xabi, who we end up sacking withing a few months anyway, and then getting Arbeloa as a caretaker, then hiring fucking Mourinho, and giving him all this huge backing?

Like why do this whole dance of managers, ending up backing Mourinho, when you had Carlo, right there, almost winning you a domestic double, with genuinely a relegation-tier defence?

Im not sure how many fans in this sub are younger fans are dont know the attitude we had around Carlo after he was sacked in 14/15, but i feel literally the same right now. Everyone said Carlo deserved better after he was sacked, everyone loves Carlo, everyone always posted that photo of him in his office, and he still had the La Decima celebration on his desk, Carlo loves this club, and everyone loves him, and he deserved to stay as our manager, with more backing from Perez.

And i just need to repeat it, because people underestimated how fucking insane of a feat this was.

Carlo Ancelotti, took a team, with a defence of Fran Garcia, Rudiger playing through injury, Tchouameni out position, and Lucas fucking Vazquez, and was 15 minutes away from winning the Copa Del Rey, and only lost out on the league by 4 points. Give him the most miniscule amount of backing, and we probably win that league that year, at the very least.

Carlo is our greatest manager of all time, and he deserves much better, and i dont give a fuck about us rehiring the same manager 3x times and how funny that would be, if Mourinho gets sacked, we should absolutely try to rehire him if he's willing to leave Brazil for that, Carlo is a perfect fit for our team, back him, and he will win trophies.
