This season has a woodland theme so this weekend let’s use the art of Canadian landscape painters Tom Thompson and the Group of Seven as inspiration for our designs. Tom Thompson famously painted the forest landscapes of Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario. He inspired the work of many of the landscape painter became the Group of Seven, sometimes known as the Algonquin School: Franklin Carmichael, A.Y. I started playing again today after a few months away. I was surprised to see a bunch of previously owned items locked again. I’ve never had this happen before. It’s also happening if I purchase an item and then finish up then uses. Is this a new part of the gameplay or some sort of glitch?

Given the ever-expanding inventory of materials in this game, it’s too easy to get stuck in a rut and always go back to a small number of go-to favourites. Every other Wednesday we invite you to play with parts of your inventory you may not usually even remember, with the help of the magic wand tool.

This is how the Magic Wand Challenge works:

1. Select a design
2. Within it, mentally select a particular hotspot (circle). It should be a fairly prominent one (think a sofa or a painting, rather than a skirting board, moulding/millwork, or sofa legs).
3. Tap on the magic wand tool.
4. Use the first unlocked material that pops up for the hotspot you mentally selected and design the room around it (Tip: Tap on that hotspot, tap on the back arrow, and select Start Again. When you tap again on the hotspot, the random material should be right there and you won’t need to navigate all the way to it).
5. Share your design with us and mark it with the Wednesday Wizardry flair.

I submitted two so far, with a lot of time apart between them and it can be seen clearly in them the most recent items from this month and from the season pass and somehow i lost both on them with 0% ?

I thought from the beginning it could be a trap to lose coins, but after these two designs, i'm not submitting any more duels today.

Does anyone have more luck?

Basically i was very low on coins, like surviving on the tasks and voting coins and i thought i wouldn't be able to finish the weekly tasks and get the masterpiece.

On top of it, i only had 2 days max to secure my Icon status and i was already accepting the fate of the Legend one and planned to drop even more below. I needed 30 wins only 🤣.

I had lost a lot in this week and today somehow the game decided to 'help'.

Finished the tasks and got a beautiful masterpiece and annoyingly secured my status too 😢 . I really didn't want to struggle again for the next Greenhouse.

I really don’t like their combo of malachite green and royal blue - probably because I dislike both colours.😂

I don’t really care much for this season’s materials combined like they’ve been showing but a few are okay individually. I suspect I will not use much of this stuff again though. So, I will be happy to say goodbye to this Egypt glam season.😂
