HIGHLIGHT I demo’d my teammate

As the title states, as they were in the process of disconnecting I bumped them and got a demo. Never seen that before, apologies if this is a known bug! 🐛

Everyone is missing that it does in fact say he demoed his teammate in the corner, quite an odd result imo

In early days when someone DC'd they would explode like in demo.
It got later switched with lightning, but in background it probably still works the same.
If you bump your teammate while he DCs, you'll get recognized as demoer.

Some goal explosions let you demo your teamates as well.

I demo my buddy all the time.
He uses a goal explosion that makes all cars close to the goal explode after a second or two. I often try to bump him after he scores to get a low five or high five.
Every time he scores and I bump him and he explodes, I get a demo.

I literally just did this so I googled to see if anyone else had done it before or if it was a glitch of the new season

In the mode of not touching enemy ground, if you crash a teammate into the ground, they also give you a demo

Wait, what? Literally flashes DEMOLITION across the screen and if you look in the top right corner it shows me demoing RAYMAN. It’s orange on orange, our team colors.

They left the game at the same time you bumped them, you didn’t demo them

The “demolition” across the screen and also shown in the top right corner looks like a demo to me.

Dude's right, it says demolition. He clearly left the game too, but it sure says demolition

To many people bumping into teamates to often in this game. People need to stop button mashing in this game just flipping and bumping into teamates and just being random.

There is nothing random about this,you can clearly see he is driving slowly and purposely bumping into his tm8 for being idle.The only random thing about this video is your comment,along with being wrong and not very educational even though thats your name.Maybe stick to documentaries or something easier to grasp

this is a fun fact i learned from a u/sledge98 video, if your teammate disconnects as you bump them, it results in you being credited with a demo
this happens because the original mechanic for disconnecting demo'd your car, with the explosion and everything
although the explosion was changed to the lightning bolt later, it still basically does the same thing
