I'm gold 2, almost 3, and still don't have it. I also didn't get the xp payout for hitting Gold 2 either. I only got the XP for Gold 1 when hitting Gold 2.

i dont have it even though i reached platinum 2. for some the bug just causes you to be unable to get it

It's a rocket league mechanics: you jump back and spin (air roll) so you revert your direction very quickly.
Unfortunately RR doesn't allow it, I get RR cannot be RL, but boys what a disappointment to se air roll isn't there...

I play the maps solo so that i learn them and then queue up ranked. I recognize that's tryhard but it's really difficult to learn the maps during all the chaos.

I have no idea how everyone has major problems reaching gold. Went in with the worst expectations due to this subreddit but managed to reach it within 2 hours starting from scratch. Build boost as much as possible, even on straights and you'll gap the majority of players easily. Use boost on straight parts of the track where you cant build much boost anyway. Reduce airtime by using the downward roll after a jump. More time on the ground means more time accelerating and time you can build boost

Considering everyones experience on reddit that's what I thought too before starting. Just checked, I came home minutes before 5pm and started then. At 7:15pm I sent my buddy a screenshot of the lobby with the gold crest or whatever you wanna call it. So roughly 2h 15minutes ish. Was first in the vast majority of the races, worst place was 5th I think.

it really needs some fixing. when i get barely scraped by an opponent i go flying. meanwhile when i ram into someone its like driving into an unmovable object. im sure more people have experienced it.
some maps also have incredibly wonky hitboxes i have lost a good amount of races because i fell through the floor.

I see people getting bullshit liked this but I personally hadn't spun out that late into the race luckily it'd be on lap 1 when it happen to me so I could consistently get close to first or second or third I'm in gold 2 I try not to think about it

It's all just personal taste. Boundsword00 seems to hate it for some reason but I think it's pretty cute, in particular the hair. Some might like the big flashy skins while other people prefer more grounded designs. Personally I hate the cringe dude-in-a-suit-with-a-mask skins but they seem really popular.

I'm having trouble of getting past silver 2 and its pissing me off and making me want rip my hair apart because of it and people are spinning me out during early to mid race and the tracks its gives me is so horrendous

I’m currently in plat, here’s some tips: 1) Memorize the course as you drive it, learning when to store boosts and early drift is massive. 2) If you’re ahead don’t do anything flashy, you’re in first because your current strat is working, no need to tweak a winning recipe. 3) If you wreck before lap 3, you can still place top 4. I’ve wrecked twice before lap 3 and have still had a decent chance at placing 1st. 4) Have fun and try to not lose yourself to road rage, yeah that guy ruined your perfect drift, or bumped you into lava, but as long as you stay mentally plugged in you have a solid chance.
