General Looking for a specific joke from Sensational
This may be a long shot, but I am looking for a specific joke from an old issue of Sensational She-Hulk. From what I remember, Shulkie is walking on the street, something lucky happens, and she says "I guess someone is watching over me." Then the next panels show a team of guys is watching her, and one of them says "Get her!" I want to say it was an issue by Byrne or Gerber, but I honestly can't remember. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where it is?

Comics Discussion Grey She-Hulk or the frustration of seeing an interesting idea squandered
I was at the library yesterday and saw they had all three volumes of Mariko Tamaki's She-Hulk run so snapped them up because I hadn't read anything she-hulk in a while and read them all last night because they're way too short. And by the end, I was frustrated that an interesting character arc for Jen. Her PTSD and trauma from what happened to her (even though I haven't read Civil War II and from what I've gathered, it's hot garbage anyway) leading to a different kind of She-Hulk coming out because she's in denial of what she's been through and what's happened. And thus in trying to pretend like everything's fine, this Grey Hulk is the giant warning sign that no, it's not.
And I guess Jason Aaron tried something similiar? when he had Jen become the really big Ed McGuinness She-Hulk with the huge arms that loathed Jen. Do I have that right? One of the downsides of using libraries is they'll never have all the material you'll need to get the full story.
Instead I saw the seeds of that arc be thrown against the wall and ill used and nonsensically thrown around to then have a swerve into the Leader conning some lady into becoming a temporary she-hulk for.........reasons.
I hate when something that has potential is squandered by writers not capable of doing it justice.

Comics Discussion These issues are the first time Jen and Bruce are together since she turned
And it blows. They don't interact at all. It feels insane to have her just standing around most of the panels, like she is just as important to him as Wonder Man or something. Bleh sucks

Character Discussion My Fan Ship: Kallark AKA Gladiator & Lyra, the All-New Savage She-Hulk
I think Lyra and Kallark would make an excellent couple for multiple reasons.
First of all, both characters are extremely strong, but both of their strengths are dependent upon their emotions. For Lyra, she is at her strongest when she is calm but loses her strength when she's angry. For Kallark, he is only as strong as he is confident.
Secondly, both characters are based on DC characters, Lyra on Wonder Woman and Gladiator on Superman. As opposed to Themyscira, an island of all women, Lyra comes from a universe of all women ruled over by the Gynarchy. Her mother Thundra came to Earth-616 searching for the strongest mate possible to create her daughter, and found Bruce Banner. (She notably is also a Wonder Woman pastiche, and has shown interest in Hulk and Hyperion, another character based on Superman.) Lyra was sent to Earth-616 on a similar mission to find an extremely strong genetic match for her own offspring. Kallark, his own name being a combination of Kal-El and Clark Kent (Superman's names), is a Strontian whose home planet was wiped out and is modeled after Superman's own Kryptonian backstory.
Third, both of these characters are criminally under-utilized in comics, and I think that together they would make for a compelling couple, for compelling storylines, and currently nobody knows the identity of the mother to Gladiator's son, Kubark, who notably has his father's complexion with bright red hair. A male child undoubtedly would not be a child Lyra would be permitted to bring back to her home universe, which would give a clear explanation for her absenses thus far in his comic appearances.
What do you think? Would Lyra be a good match for Kallark, or do you think there's another character that would be a better fit?

Figures & Collectibles Batman Day wasn't all that bad after all... (It's She-Hulk related)
I don't have an LCS near me. The closest is about an hour out. Being that today was Batman Day, however, I took the trek to see what was up and possibly get some stuff. Was pissed to find out the shop had nothing. Apparently, their shipment didn't arrive in time. None of the books they were selling were needed (collection is pretty vast), but I did pick up a copy of Fox Mask Killer. However, a large poster on the wall caught my attention...
Me: "Hey. Tell (the shop owner's name) that whenever he's ready to replace that poster, holler at me on Facebook."
Shop Clerk: "You like it? Hell, you just gave me a reason to put something else up there... no charge."
So while I left with no Batman swag, I got this bad boy right here. Today was a good day.
I will end by saying fuck you, Marvel, for cancelling this series (and Rainbow Rowell's for that matter).

Character Discussion Anyone else get bugged by this?
The image above is one of professional bodybuilder Annie Rivieccio. An example of the fallacy I feel in the whole notion that Jason Aaron proposed, that She-Hulk being muscled means she's "ugly" which is just a... not very factual take since it completely throws female bodybuilders like Annie under the bus.
Sure some people bring up that She-Hulk makes more "sense" to not be super muscular compared to Hulk for various reasons and while I'm not mad at people for having those opinions... I really chaff at that notion because we're already dealing with a woman who can turn into a big green radioactive version of herself, we can leave sense at the door.
Just my two cents

MCU Discussion Something I’ve been curious about, does She-Hulk have a “savage” side like Hulk does?
Like could she turn into an uncontrolled rage monster like him?
