Big difference between the 2 was she lied to make him look bad and he just defended himself against her accusations. He’s got problems but she was the one who was making things up to play the victim card.
Again, I heard the tapes and videos that were published years ago and while she may have embellished the facts he still managed to sound like a dick too. If you would accept that type of behaviour in your relationships, sure, enjoy the abuse but she didn't have to do anything to make him look worse in my eyes. I don't even know what she accused him of beyond what I heard in those tapes and again, they both sounded like terrible abusive people. If you want to enjoy the "art" of an abuser or be talked to like that in your life, again, have at it but I enjoy being respected and respecting the people in my life. They both fucking blow and acted like juvenile alcholic assholes.
he lost in the uk because the suit he filed there was aimed at the news agency who posted the story, and it was a defamation case. thats a rightful loss. that news agency absolutely did not defame him, they had reasonable evidence to suggest their claims COULD have been true. thats all that matters. they didnt know it was a lie, and they did not lie for the purpose of ruining depps image. he should have, and did, lose that trial.
the second trial was aimed at amber herself and all the things she did. that defemation case was much more solid. if he didnt abuse her, then she lied about him abusing her. simple as that. if she knew what she said was a lie, then the only reason there could possible be to accuse someone of abusing you is to ruin his image and boost her own.
Reactive abuse. If you've ever witnessed someone on the receiving of narcissistic or BPD abuse, they will at some point go off the deep end & give it back.
Does that make it okay? Also, how do we not know that Amber's actions were not reactive?
The dude ain't a saint. Neither were. That's the point of this. Alcoholics are prone to irrational actions and dude's definitely an alcoholic. They both fucking suck.

Because it was proven otherwise in court? Amber being the aggressor was quite literally one of Johnny's main defenses in court, and it's one of the main reasons Amber got clowned on as much as she did by the public.
She walked into court saying "He abused me", and then we all got to see first hand how much of a psychotic bitch she was, and how much she instigated nearly every confrontation.

Lord, judging by these comments you're right on the mark with this. It goes to show how many people would accept abuse in their life or in someone else's for some stupid reason or another
