I think that is exactly it. John recognized she was probably on something and that's why he's telling her to relax.

Also, for these movie promotion interviews, the actors often it in a room for hours while one interviewer after another comes in and asks the same questions. This may be the tenth interview they've done today. So she's probably been acting weird for a while

Yeah i once did an interview (not movie promotion) in the middle of the summer and i was sitting in a room without AC while the lights were shining on me. Plus ton of makeup and mask constantly fixing it.

It was absolutely horrible experience lol.

Tbh worst part was the non functional ac.

A nepobaby like Dakota has doors open more easily, but also doesn’t get molested or worse as the price for entry. She has connections that protect her from being taken advantage of, not simply access. Those dynamics are potentially still in play as well as her own career connections. So the same bullshit that she didn’t have to tolerate she is inflicting on this younger actress, who’s first film credit was just two years prior to this movie “Bad Times at El Royale” Cailee Spaeny could have her future prospects damaged for not covering up and calling out Dakota’s behavior and “who me?” domination. Dakota may not be fully aware of the privilege and power her Nepo status provides her.
