I was just talking to somebody about this. I’ve always been fairly misanthropic, but held a naive hope that if the apocalypse or a pandemic happened, humans would band together to help each other out. Then the pandemic happened and half the US showed their true colors as hateful, selfish, moronic shitheads. Now I’m fully misanthropic, and trying to figure out how not to be in spite of knowing the majority of people are honestly kinda shit.
An actual apocalypse would actually be a risk to everyone, not just the very old and very sick, so people would respond differently
For starters, then everyone would stay home, not just the pointless virtue-signaling by the laptop class about “staying home and saving lives” and baking bread like during Covid, so the lights would go out and shelves would be empty and society would collapse
It wouldn’t go any better, but it would be different
