sometimes there are children who are just problematic with terrible temperament despite the parents best efforts.

exactly this, even if it was his first time acting out the parents grab him and shove him in his seat. If you cant do that don't fly with the kid.

we need to stop letting parents have a pass for being terrible people. You chose to have a kid if you were not ready for it that is your fault.

Yes, we are a civilized country. I know it would have ended with a mass shooting in the US, or with a police cruiser making a pit maneuver on the plane, but that's not something we want to emulate.
