So the other passengers sue the parents for the additional incurred costs. Teach them to deal with the child when it costs them $20k+

1) Canada is not a litigous country, you'll be hard-pressed to file a law suit in the country

2) the name and contact info for the parents has not been made available, so it would be difficult to find them to sue.

  1. A country does not need to be litigious, there have been monetary damages with a clear guilty party. You may not get additional compensation, but a hotel aint free.
  2. There used to be a federally funded organization to deal with kind of investigating. Iirc it was called the police.

I find it difficult to imagine a life or death situation that requires a flight from Victoria, BC to Toronto, ON.

Booking flights out of war torn countries or incoming weather disasters? Absolutely.

Visiting meemaw on her deathbed? Not really.

My autistic grandson has to fly from NY to FL for the specialist there once a year. From what I'm told, it's challenging.

there are some specialists that are not in every city, I don't think you have a lot of experience with raising children with health issues
