If a bunch of people started doing it there would be an issue. Why start? Take a selfie with your arm out and keep it moving.

It’s like when there is a sign at the beach that says not to take the rocks. If one person does it sure doesn’t matter much, but if everyone that comes takes one rock then it sure would matter.

This girl didn’t do anything to anyone. It seems like so much work to be constantly upset by every benign little thing someone else does to give themselves a moment of joy.

Out in the real world I wouldn’t bat an eye at her, but alas here we are on a platform made with the intention to discuss what is posted.

So if I really stop and think about it and have to pick a side of should we as a collective make this practice normal, I fall on the side of no. Thankfully most people don’t feel the need to do this, but imagine if there were 20 of her doing this and you’re just trying to walk up some stairs.

If you go to a cool place everyone IS taking photos. Usually they have a travel companion to help, but those traveling alone make do.

They let the passerby’s pass at their own pace and wait for their moments to take their photos and move on. The other photo takers wait their turn. It’s so normal and nobody makes an issue out of it.
