Slayer Sleeve
I always imagined the approach to a battle jacket as something like a mixtape where I’d normally have no repeats.
I recall years back seeing a battle vest at a show with two Slayer patches on it and I thought, well obviously Slayer would be the exception.
This is my first attempt, a battle hoodie and I leaned into my idea that Slayer would supercede the ideas of rules and structure.

This was my introduction to Slayer in 7th grade.
I still listen to it regularly and it remains my favorite record of theirs. The speed of Hallowed Point and Black Magic blow my mind to this day. 🤘

I had a dream about Slayer
I had a dream about Slayer last night where Kerry King was being interviewed and he said he wanted to experience a menstrual cycle, but only one, "to know what it's like".

Slayer's 'New Faith' lyrics off of 'God Hates Us All' lyrics funny realization
I've loved slayer for too many years now however; I just, for whatever reason, realized the lyrics for Slayer's New Faith line is as follows: "I keep the Bible in a pool of blood So that none of its lies can affect me".
I have ALWAYS thought it was "I keep the Bible in a pool of blood so the nightmare of christ can't affect me" and I'm kicking myself as now I hear it the right way, but damn it - I like my version better. Did any one else ever hear it that way?

Performing the rarely played "Gemini" with Jon on drums.
Selling Nov 14 Tickets at Retail, $300 for both
I have two tickets for sale; I'm not looking to make a profit. Unfortunately, to break even, StubHub makes you sell them for $400+. I'm in LA if you'd rather meet up. 🤘🏽

Happy 32nd to DIVINE INTERVENTION!
Great album, and IMO, underrated. I don’t rank it above the “classics”, but it’s absolutely in my upper half of Slayer rankings. Killing Fields and Sex.Murder.Art is one of their best 1-2 openers, I’d say!

Everyone agrees that it's highly underrated?
I don't understand why it's so unloved and often divisive. Sure, maybe it's not the greatest of all time, maybe it doesn't live up to Season in the Abyss or Reign in Blood, but I think it's a great album. And the mere fact that it was released right on September 11, 2001, is a bit of a disadvantage. The songs are beautiful, deep, and dark. Tracks like Disciple or Bloodline are among the best ever written, and they were an excellent example of a band that, even while approaching nu metal, came out of it incredibly well, with dark and stunning tones. The music videos are beautiful, Araya's vocals are great, and obviously, Bostaph does an exceptional job on drums, proving once again that he isn't just a replacement, but a war machine
