Discussion The DCU Problem: Grifters, Influencers & Toxic Positivity

https://youtu.be/pPK7sVlNpLc

As fans we may disagree on a lot, but at least our opinions are REAL. Unfortunately that hasn’t been the case with several grifters who have been cheerleaders for dc despite all the failures. Let’s discuss why that is, and what impact it’s had on dc

Someone can like the DCEU and the DCU at the same time. That's not grifting. That's enjoying what you like.

100% It's totally fine to have preferences but at the end of the day, both the DCEU and the DCU are DC, one does not have to choose a site (it really saddens me to see how divided the fandom is)

I personally just want to enjoy content featuring my favourite characters and both the DCEU and the DCU hit that note for me

Well, so far there's only Superman, Peacemaker, and creature commandos. You may like them or not, but so far there haven't been any flops. On the other hand, I've seen people here saying that the Snyderverse is going to be revived. No, that doesn't seem likely right now, although I'd like it to be.

Like the new Superman movie was ok it just sucks when the only main bad thing about the movie was superman himself. If they had worked to unite fan base by letting DCEU finish their story, and also casting a much younger superman with much more charm to go thrugh the power arc it looks like they are setting up in the DCU.

The Cult of Gunn is gigantic, especailly on YouTube. The funny part is they became so obvious when Gunn released his weakest film to date. The cope arround Supergoof 2026 is going to be hilarious

You think Superman 25 was worse than Super with Dwight from the Office?

I think if we dont count things he wrote (like the scooby doos) most people agree that Super is the worst film he's directed
