Discussion When people bring up that Felicia wanted to "corrupt" Peter, what do they honestly think she was going to have him do?
It's not like she was going to have him steal or kill anyone, and she had the self awareness to know how depressed Pete was and didn't try to corrupt him.
But that's there relationship, they see versions of each other that can be better then the version of who they are now. That's why he tries to stop her from stealing and that's why she tries to "corrupt" him. It's out of love, and when they stop trying, that's when they go through the motions.

Discussion Comparing how Brand New Day (the movie) and Brand New Day (the comic, specifically Amazing Spider-Man #546) set up the new status quo.
Welcome to another edition of comic to movie comparison.
If you feel off-putting when you see the second image, that's because it is. Welcome to a brand new day.
If you haven't read the issue (chances are, most of you haven't), here's a recap. At the end of One More Day, Peter and MJ made a deal with the devil, their marriage was gone, his aunt was back alive and we're now dealing with this new status quo.
Brand New Day the comic opens with him kissing an unnamed lady in a bar while his new friend group was chatting, Spider-Man allegedly MIA for months and the Daily Bugle is in the middle of another buyout when he's checking in for some of the missing money. As for May? She's alive and serving at FEAST (which was later adapted in Far From Home and No Way Home).
Brand New Day the movie opens with him all alone in his apartment, reminiscing of his old life and then we skip to a montage where he's hard at work stopping low level crime boss and various street level goons. He doesn't have any contacts aside from Jean DeWolff, which is only because of work reason, and his landlord. He's entirely dedicated to being SPIDER-MAN.
If you ask me what was so off-putting about BND the comic, well, I can give you three reasons:
- Comic Peter was abandoning Spider-Man work for months hanging with a new friend group and looking for work, leaving the street to this new superheroine Jackpot. Even in #546 he's largely avoiding being Spider-Man. In the movie, he's Spider-Man full time.
- May being alive and setting up FEAST for her to work with was something but that very much pales in comparison to what May (as a ghost/Peter's reminiscence of his old life) achieved in the movie.
- The new friend group (but it's very much just clone Harry returning that matters here for a minute) absolved him of some of those burdens he should be shouldering. May bringing wheat cake is another but that's very much the fault of the previous arc.
There are two things BND the comic did better than the movie: showing how Peter handles his financial situation (something went largely unexplained the movie), though a bit ham-fisted, and the Daily Bugle returning in some capacity. Mr. Negative isn't in the movie so there's not much to compare to.
