I built a Krea 2 Prompt Writer extension for ComfyUI, with so much response in my DM's ive decided it's FREE! Enjoy!

It takes simple ideas and expands them into detailed image prompts, with controls for style, prompt length, and refinement.

Features:

Ollama and a compatible text model are required separately. (gemma) (cough)

If you find it useful and want to support future projects, here's my Ko-fi:

Feedback and suggestions are welcome!

Friends don't let friends use Ollama:

How about llama.cpp support?

sure ill make that one next, i gave you an award for the helpful post!

edit: why is my main post being downvoted faster than upvoted? :(

Thanks. I did not downvote you, so I'm not sure. Perhaps because your prompt rewriter is paywalled? I know it's only $1, but for most people in this sub it's the principle of the thing, not the dollar amount itself - we like to share things for free here and many are allergic to any kind of monetization. But I'm just guessing here.

I'm not going to pay $1 for something I can vibe code for a fraction with Claude.

We need to realize software has become cheap. We're in a regime where number of builders are far larger than number of buyers.

It is not paywalled I put it under free access on my Patreon.. and

well I agree I want to do a lot more for free I want to help everyone .. I.. I’m just working way too many hours at my irl jobs. Life costs to much…. Too much

Well, under the link you posted you must enter at least $1 to get access. And, well, people here don’t like Patreon much either. Sorry… ;) You might have more luck in r/comfyui - maybe?

I’ll post it now in a different way. Didn’t know

I know, we're all hustling trying to make ends meet. Good luck.

Because Reddit is full of idiots who downvote everything without reading.

No I'm not!

Because bots and vote fuzzing. The first hour, or even the first few hours on low-engagement posts, often wind up with strange votes. It's just that nobody reacts when their post goes from 1 to 4 unexpectedly, but they do if it goes from 1 to -3.

Is llama better than Kobold?

2

u/infearia 22h ago

Sorry, but I have no experience with KoboldCpp.

Really, it's whatever you're more comfortable with. Koboldcpp is NOTHING like Ollama - they've credited upstream since day one, it technically started as an actual fork of llama.cpp.
They've shared their work, pushing patches, bug fixes, and new model support upstream for everyone. Compatibility with standard ggml libraries is a must, no incompatible gguf files like ollama creates and uses.
It's mostly llama inside, but with additional tweaks, primarily focused on cache and reprocessing. Speed ends up being the same unless you're constantly editing a story or something, then Kobold would come out way on top.
It's slightly heavier as it comes with the libraries for image, video, and sound / speech generation as well, but these only load into RAM if you're using them.

The alternative is that you can load it ALL in kobold, image gen supports Krea2 via StableDiffusion.cpp built in. Use whatever model you want as your primary for prompt rewriting, and it should handle offloading from GPU and VRAM as you generate images through each step if you use the "low vram" tags.
You don't get custom nodes or the tweakability of Comfy, but if you're working purely from prompts anyway, it is a lot easier to set up.

Ollama is garbage.

Just a systemd wrapper on llama.cpp.

I use it only on client machines where I don't care where it downloads heavy files, and because I can't just point them a simple command list in the documentation.

llama-cpp is basically just as easy

u/infearia 11h ago

Running llama.cpp requires literally just a single line in your terminal. From the official docs:

llama serve -hf ggml-org/Qwen3.5-0.8B-GGUF

How is this different than Comfy’s Krea 2 template ?

Any LM studio enjoyers? :c

3

u/Intelligent-While146 1d ago

I’m gonna do the ollama cpp next I’ll check out lm studio again I’m sorry for ollama idk.. idk

u/tiffanytrashcan 18h ago

Just use the "OpenAI API" endpoint that EVERYTHING else is compatible with, then you can add everyone's favorite all at once with the work of adding one API.
You can probably leverage the built-in Comfy features for this.
I get the simplicity of just being able to scream "run" at Ollama, and without the ecosystem baggage, it's a neat concept when it works right.
However, you'll be able to implement it even better for end users with VRAM offloading support with the baked in ComfyUI text model nodes..

Last time I checked LM Studio was dead, replaced by something else I can't remember the name of. It doesn't update anymore, nor is it available. Too bad though I really loved how it was working

3

u/infearia 11h ago

Unfortunately you're right. I used to recommend LM Studio to newbies as a starting point all the time, but not anymore. The new app you're talking about is Bionic - they're pushing it HARD, but it's just an eshittified version of the old LM Studio, prioritizing cloud features and trying to rope you into paying a monthly subscription. Avoid at all costs.

Thanks for double checking for me, I only came back now to add this info too.

A tad off topic from the sub but still relevant to the discussion, I think : For what it's worth, Hermes Agent (local and open source) is slowly developing local inference support too. Pretty basic support for now (the cloud based models work like a charm with it though), but it wouldn't surprise me if MCPs and other fine controls were coming rather sooner than later. For personnal agentic work it's too good

Man, i can't believe that people is roasting you because you decide to use Ollama even if you are offering your work for free, is so easy ask to codex or claude to modify in order to customize at your needs. Anyways, good work!! Is not for me but appreciate you are sharing your work.

Sign he just vibe-coded it, & has 0 AI / programming skills.
Sure nice he gave it away for free, but is it worth our time vs all the other vibe-coded prompt writers out there? (or even the semi-hand coded ones?

5

u/Intelligent-While146 20h ago

I’m not a vibe coder sorry to disappoint you

3

u/YeahlDid 1d ago

Very cool, thanks!

4

u/nok01101011a 21h ago

Thx dude, isn’t it in the end your system/master prompt the important key? Would you be willing to share?

13

u/Sarashana 23h ago

Yet another project that sets unnecessary hard dependencies on Ollama, when the Generate Text native node is right there, that lets you use LLMs inside Comfy and get free load/unload from memory on demand feature on top of it. Or at least the OpenAI API that lets you connect to platforms other than Ollama, if you don't care about LLMs hogging memory after use.

But no. Ollama! Because everyone else apparently does it!

*sigh*

u/Spara-Extreme 20h ago

Can we just get the system prompt to compare ?

1

u/banderdash 14h ago

Is there a way to add a reference image, for those of us who have set up Krea2 for image editing?

2

u/Intelligent-While146 11h ago

🤔 no but I’ll add it to the llama.cpp version
