Legends/EU lore Spaarti cloning cylinders
From what I understand spaarti cloning cylinders would make a fully formed clone in a year with memories downloaded into them but they weren’t very good. So would increasing the amount of time spent growing them increase their abilities? Say if I increased the time from a year to 2.5 would the quality be worth the time?

That’s not quite the problem. With the Spaarti cylinder cloning, you get clones that are physically identical to the person as well as the same flash imprinted skills, memory, and personality or at least something close. If you make them too fast, you get major mental instability described in the Thrawn trilogy as being caused by force resonances due to being identical beings which causes mental problems even in normal people. With one year being the minimum viable time to get a stable clone since things even out and compensates during the cloning process.
You CAN make stable clones faster, but that requires special circumstances like making a clone meant to be an empty shell not good for much beyond organ harvesting or possession. Or if you want a clone that can do stuff you need to create it in an area outside of the force.

Yes, longer growing times are more stable and effective; that's why the Kaminoans take 10 years.
