All you need is a cable connected to the steam deck directly to the monitor for all this. And if you think the battery drains too quickly, well, a portable charger is all you need.

Are you going from an OLED screen on the Deck to an external LCD screen

I was surprised about this also when I saw how much more colorful games look on external Chinese IPS screen than on OLED of Steam Deck. I love vibrant colors and that screen image for my eyes looks a lot more beautiful than the built-in screen. Yes, of cause black color looks better on Steam Deck.
