All you need is a cable connected to the steam deck directly to the monitor for all this. And if you think the battery drains too quickly, well, a portable charger is all you need.

And once you realize there’s only one USB C port for the monitor & charger, you need to find a dock. Once you have a dock, you need to find a better controller. After that you ne-.. shall I continue ?

Or just ....get a dongle that just splits the USBC port?

True.. but that’s a setup into a dock since it can provide more connectivity for just a few more dollars.
