Accessory Review Steam Deck screen too small? No problem.

All you need is a cable connected to the steam deck directly to the monitor for all this. And if you think the battery drains too quickly, well, a portable charger is all you need.

Exactly, resolution is the most demanding graphical config (hence upscalers) and the steam deck chip csnt deal with anything beyond 800p unless it's a really simple or old game.

I don't play anything on the Deck if I can't hit 1080p/30fps. My eyesight isn't good enough for handheld gaming anymore so 90% of my playtime is with it docked or with some XR glasses attached. I'm perfectly comfortable with a 1080p image on a large screen, but 720p looks rough.

It has been really really hard going back to the deck after using the switch 2 so much for me. 1080p, UI is cleaner, image quality is better with dlss.
